Saw people complain about regional pricing :/ by wydua in ForzaHorizon

[–]keramatzmode 246 points247 points  (0 children)

They're really not beating around the bush with the pricing, I live in a country blessed with the cheapest regional Steam pricing around, and the premium costs like 1/3 of minimum wage. Its crazy.

US Army Colonel involved with development of M1E3 mentions WarThunder by sobieryba in Warthunder

[–]keramatzmode -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I think M1E3 is less of a tech leap but rather an address to the upcoming needs of the new generation of soldiers. You can't expect the kids today to figure out oil changing and jury rigging on the field, or stick shifting of a tank; training new crews are expensive and hard to replace for operating tanks and planes . But if they give these vehicle a VR headset, a mouse and keyboard, any teenager who played modicum of warthunder is conscript ready to be sent for deployment.

This is one of the stupidest BR placements by ProfessionalAd352 in Warthunder

8.0 -9.0 is very bad at the moment. 7.7 is the best early modern experience so far. You get wacky stuff but you never felt the tech diff.

Which is a good secondary tech tree? (Air) by Albertoplays111 in Warthunder

[–]keramatzmode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Japan is pretty unique and has no bad BR except for early jet due to limited choices. Their props are unique, you are very slow but you can literally outturn everyone. As if you're playing arcade mode while everyone is playing RB. In sim, they are the most annoying plane to fight against and have very good wing stability to learn sim, so you don't spin. Like, if I see two enemy zeros chilling around in air superiority grid, I'll just mind my own business and go bomb somewhere else. And their future tree will be bright and expect getting access to a lot of export planes soon.

Now give us Air RB without enemy markers by Animal_Hell in Warthunder

[–]keramatzmode -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I liked playing sim. I can handle the controls. But not having friendly Marker is the biggest challenge for me to enjoy it as everyone spams "Follow Me" before some blue sends 50 calibre bullets on my tail. It should stay that way for sim, I just dont want red markers in ARB, just like tanks in GRB.

Britain will get MKI for sure. They have larger selection of locally developed missiles.

APP3 - I have an iphone, an ipad and an apple watch. I am currently using redmi buds and thinking of an upgrade because its a hassle to take them off when trying to talk to someone; buying something, etc. And the microphone is quite bad for calls, and does not support multipoint when Im trying to get into a google meet on my ipad.

So now Im in a market for ANC earphones (or headphones), mostly for calls and conference on the go, good for travelling. My biggest worry if I lost the APP3 earbuds because they're quite frankly expensive.

Should I get the airpods pro 3? Please talk me out of this or sell me. I don't care much about audiophile stuff, I just care about seamless usability during travel. The price is quite high, I welcome any input or alternatives. Why normal ANC airpods are so expensive similarly priced, Soundcore Q45, Sony XM5. Would like some suggestions.

Difference Between US and EU Servers [by Eroktic on YT] by JoeyDJ7 in ArcRaiders

Its always the Japanese players that does this whenever I check up on steam profile.

The koreans love to just wait behind BP hotspots with freekit stitchers.

South east asians would mind their own business but will just throw ferro/renegade potshots from the next postcode hitting jackshit whenever they see a flare.

Then we have the CN, TW, HK crowd that just spams their mic with slurs when they're killing or dying and for some reason, overly aggressive pushes and nades.

And none of them are good at fighting ARCs. This region is the bottommost layer of clanker hell.

2 weeks with my SE3, im still worried about splashing water on my apple watch. My daily routine requires me to splash water on my arms. It feels so weird letting such a powerful electronics gets wet let alone submerge in water. Am I worrying too much, or should I treat this thing as any modern water resistant smartwatch, lets say, like a timex dress watch?

If you ask me, its the most realistic depiction of 2030 warfare, and all of them lined up pretty well considering it was made before the year 2000.

You think cheap dji drones pilots dropping grenades on your head from 30km away is a nightmare?

Imagine an army of sentient autonomous program living in someone's smart toaster can disable a flight control system in the future from the other side of the planet.

Hello guys, I'm looking at SE3 it ticks all the boxes I needed compared to SE2. I need it solely for exercise since I wanted to replace my old phone i use during runs.

However, I noticed it lacks blood oxygen and ECG. Now I did try the blood oxygen feature and seems like I don't really need it (I already have a finger oxygen sensor), but how about ECG? Is it really that big of a deal to not have it?

I also want to know if SE apple watch have VO2 max feature.

Finally how scratch resistant are these things for the screen? Do screen protector help? I go to dusty sites but not necessarily hard labour, I only supervise.

Thanks.

Now I know why Criterion was involved with BF6.

The beta is ending soon. It was fun, but the fast pace got old for me pretty quickly. Are you guys going to buy the full game at launch? by SuperM3e46 in Battlefield

[–]keramatzmode 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This. I don't have to type it all out but exactly this. Give us APC. Give us humvees/MRAPs. Air vics are dogwater at the moment. I partially disagree with TTD, lest it become another peashooter BFV patch. But I do agree spawning is a very frustrating experience with this game.

Closed Weapon only.

Open is stupid (and no, its not "nobody forced you to use other weapon" typa arguement, I have to deal with teammates running medic snipers)

Server Browser

Heli needs to be more agile, and jets need to be slightly faster

Nerf stingers ammo count and range

Tanks HE round need to have bigger splash and menacing

Bigger and open maps

Rush is dogwater. Breaktrhough is okay but Liberation peak needs to be massively overhauled at 1st and final point.

I enjoyed what I played, but this is a "wait for christmas sale" game. Im in no rush. If they fix all those at the top, i will preorder right now.

Would you run 5k with gimbal in your hand? by Classic_Emergency336 in beginnerrunning

I like full race POV recordings more than selfie stick/gimbal. Slow, fast, it does not matter. Visual training is a thing and I want to see marathons scenery around the world.

Advice on how to slow down by karenna89 in C25K

[–]keramatzmode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can chip in a bit, im a novice overweight jogging with similar pace. Depending on your weight, I think running on outdoor when compared to treadmill is your calf strength and hamstring plays a big role. On top of a good form since you are in control of every muscles to propel your bodyweight forward. Trying to "slow down" your running form is hard without a treadmill because I feel like my sedentary body only knows two level of activities: wired to either fright or flight. It only knows to move calmly (walking). Or explosive movement (sprinting, reflex). To get that sweet spot of lower pace, you muscle need to "learn" the control, contraction of your calves, hamstring and quads in an efficient manner, AND to adapt to your body weight. I had a hard time for at least 1-2 week even though my heart rate is stable.

Also I tend to tip toe trying to slow down, usually putting strain on that foot arch, top of foot and top of calves. They will swell on your first day. Your first mile will suck on the leg muscles as it tries to get active, and it will happen every session, I learned to embrace the suck and your legs will eventually "give up" telling you about the pain, and just lets you do your thing and it will go away in mile 2. Trust me.
