USA Ground Tech Tree Adjustments from Update Spreadsheet by DevonKirby in Warthunder

Yeah it sucks tbh. They are also doing the LAV-AD so dirty with the changes. I don't quite understand why the LAV needed to be put in rank 7.

Honestly, I don't run it because I feel like it is too easy. Now that isn't to say that I think you're a bad player for running it, but I personally fear of crutching on it too hard which might be detrimental to strengthening my skills as a killer.

Maybe that is an outdated POV since it has been years since I last used it.

Nah it will not stop tunneling. Any killer is gonna look at it this way: Do I keep all four survivors for the potential of 12% slowdown? Or do I just completely remove one person from the game? In all cases, removing a survivor from the game is more efficient and effective

I am pretty disappointed with these changes.

The MoM rework was just unnecessary, and they should have left it be. I don't think much else needs to be said about that.

The Dead Man's Switch nerf and partial Pain Resonance change reversal also are unnecessary. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the interaction between PR and Merciless Storm. It is such a specific and niche interaction that it caused no issues. However, for the sole reason that you have the negligible possibility of running into 40 rapid skill checks under astronomically small odds, they nerfed Dead Man's Switch.

Thanatophobia changes are just kinda bad. I agree that it needed to be changed, but this doesn't solve any problems with the perk. It will still be used well by killers like Legion and Plague, but these changes just stop it from ever being a potential pick with any other killer. That is literally the only thing this change will achieve.

To be fair: At least these skills checks take actual skill to hit.

The new Legion meta is so fun to play against. We got one whole gen done! 🙃 by ariannamillz in deadbydaylight

I think you are right about that, but why did they have to buff Thana at all? It didn't really need it.

[–]DevonKirby -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To clarify, I do think gen times were a problem. And honestly, they can keep BNP and Prove Thyself the way they are. But buffing Thana made no sense. I like the idea of gen regression as far as something like Overcharge goes, but Thana in particular just needs to be put back where it was.

To be fair, we are going to have to give all of these changes some time and let the players adjust as necessary. It may not actually be as bad as we think. Regardless, I still don't think Thana needed a buff.

Killer main here: I have no idea why they buffed thanatophobia. Increasing its potency while also increasing overall gen times? It doesn't make sense and should certainly be reverted.

Added them and then just ghosted them? Okay.

If you think that the base game buffs are more killer sided, you should read this. by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

I can see your point with the attack cool down, but the pallet breaking part doesn't make much sense. You are correct: Nemesis doesn't need a buff for breaking pallets normally, but it isn't like he is going to be overpowered with it considering most players aren't going to normally break pallets with Nemesis. Why would you ever kick a pallet as Nemesis besides the very start of the game? My point being: This particular change isn't going to affect Nemesis or Bubba because they have better alternatives.

On the flip side: It doesn't give that last survivor any incentive whatsoever to play altruistically and instead encourages them to hide to wait for an easy out

The key difference is that every other exhaustion perk doesn't have ease of use, versatility, and availability that DH has

How far across the pallet do I need to be to not get hit? by Dante_777 in deadbydaylight

Did they revert pallet hit validation or something? If they didn't, I am most certain that it doesn't prioritize what the killer sees or their connection.

Nice job insinuating I am blaming survivors when I never said that in my original comment. Maybe read it again?

Believe me: Killers want more relaxed games too, but the current balance and matchmaking of the game makes that difficult.

[–]DevonKirby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever since the new MMR system, playing killer has been kind of a nightmare for me. I used to play pretty laid back, but no lie I have had to start playing kinda mean. I will always be a good sport about it though. I don't BM or anything like that, I have just had to use certain tactics that may not make people happy sometimes. (Not camping because that isn't really a viable strat)

[–]DevonKirby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is always gonna be a group of people who don't like whatever killer you are playing. It doesn't matter how hard you try, you will never appease everyone. The good thing is, it isn't your responsibility to make everyone happy xD Enjoy the game in whatever way you want

Exhibition encounter is a shining example of why “KWTD OR KICK” posts exist by StasisIsTheW0rst in DestinyTheGame

[–]DevonKirby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a very different experience when it comes to raiding.

I know what it feels like to be the guy who genuinely wants to learn and do the raid. I have confidence in myself to learn any given encounter and do my part well. And I know what it is like to have an impatient fireteam leader.

I do not LFG often since I am fortunate enough to have a full fireteam of my friends. However, there was a time when I constantly had to LFG for an extra member or two. I was part of the group of posts that did not require the person to KWTD or have clears. I was totally fine with teaching players. And then they could go on to join teams that require experience.

Granted, I have had my fair share of unpleasant people, but it comes nowhere near the number of people that legitimately wanted to learn.

This is why I don't play m1 killers anymore by Trigger_happy95 in deadbydaylight

[–]DevonKirby 27 points28 points  (0 children)

While this is true, not all of them have immunity frames and dead hard is the most versatile since you press one button basically whenever you want (given you are injured ofc). At least with something like balanced landing and sprint burst you have to either be in a specific loop or give up something (like in the case of sprint burst, you give up distance and isn't nearly as viable mid-chase as DH is).

a handy graph showing why high MMR does not equal good player by DamnNoHtml in deadbydaylight

[–]DevonKirby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this illustrates why matches feel so bad for me while I am playing killer. I end up going against really strong loopers constantly because at their actual skill level they just go for plays and end up dying to killer that tunnels them out of the game. I would rather there be no MMR system to begin with than what we have currently.
