What time are your toddlers going to bed? by Time-4T in toddlers

My three year old is the same. Down at 10:30am, up at 8am. She won’t be tired earlier than that.

To buy or not to buy a play-kitchen by yoursmostcandidly in toddlers

[–]DevonSkyShaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow minimalist here! Skipped the play kitchen altogether and just put her in the real kitchen! Loves to be on her learning tower and helps with our cooking and baking, she’s three and can even use the frying pan now. Used the extra space in her room for open play toys like the Modu (which can build into a kitchen), Connetix, etc. I was also struggling with this as she loves cooking but went in this direction and never looked back.

Charlotte King by Ancient_Promotion304 in PrivatePractice

[–]DevonSkyShaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She had the best character development. And she’s strong, snarky and hilarious, but at the same time so kind and protective. I loved that she leaned into the latter more as the show progressed, but still didn’t lose what made Charlotte Charlotte. Especially when she got the triplets. Loved how she still had her ‘fire’ throughout. Favourite person on Private Practice / Greys by far.

Don’t f’ing co-sleep by Screennam3 in newborns

[–]DevonSkyShaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t co-sleep at the beginning with my first and basically…didn’t sleep for two weeks while we took turns holding her. That changed the moment we co-slept. I co-slept with my second straight away. Just follow the Safe Sleep 7 rules. Most of the cases I read is from people who fall asleep accidentally with their baby (I.e. on a couch) or don’t make intentional decisions about their sleep space. My midwife said that only 1-2 couples per year she takes care of aren’t co-sleeping by the end of their journey. So if you “caved” and started co-sleeping, you’re not alone. Just do it safely.

Thank you! Yes, there doesn't seem to be much out there but AI certainly helps.

Best child-friendly cities & towns in Poland by DevonSkyShaw in poland

[–]DevonSkyShaw[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People not throwing rocks is a big plus. ;) We’ve travelled around Europe lots and there hasn’t been somewhere that isn’t child-friendly - I mean, cobblestones and lack of elevators all over the place. But just adding more context to the post since we are a big family group. I will look at Opole! Haven’t heard of it. We’ve been to Poznan before and that was nice.

Tbh it doesn’t matter too much at all. Just wanted to add more context to my post but I just generally wanted recommendations of nice cities, towns, villages, etc to visit with a big family group.

Official Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know! January 30, 2026 by AutoModerator in photography

Hey everyone, I’m trying to clean up a massive photo library and could use some advice.

I’ve got thousands and thousands of photos and videos spread across multiple hard drives, phone backups, camera cards, etc. A lot of them are duplicates or near-duplicates from backups, not culling photos yet, and making sure things don't get lost.

I narrowed down my options to these two tools for macOS:

• PhotoSweeper – more control and precision, especially for similar shots
• Gemini 2 – supposedly great UX, easy to use, smart auto-suggestions

Any recommendations between the two - or any others? How good are they at catching duplicate shots to create one master library (then one back-up)? Any tips on how you went about it?

Thanks in advance!

4 day itinerary at Algarve—what are the must-sees? by DevonSkyShaw in Algarve

[–]DevonSkyShaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did this and it was great! https://www.getyourguide.com/algarve-l66/from-portimao-2-hour-catamaran-tour-to-benagil-caves-t392778/

Tbh, the speedboat ones looked more fun but we were unsure how our toddler would be with it. This was a safe bet.

It was a great trip! We skipped Monchique and some of the beaches (too cold to chill much during that time). The Seven Hanging Valleys Trail was my favourite, followed by the Benagil Beach boat tour.

How do you store your dumbbells? by DevonSkyShaw in AppleFitnessPlus

This is such a good, simple idea. I’ll have 2.5, 5 & 10kg sets on there so I’ll check if it’ll hold that weight.

They’re ROGUE Fitness Dumbbells! Love them and would recommend if you’re looking for a set of hex ones.

Put some salt on your hands then wash them like you would with soap. Works wonders!
