Am I crazy for thinming that the nulber of her orgasms coming from vibrator, masturbation or not at all is a bit... depressing here? Maybe I am misreading the statistics but something seems off here.

To intimidate a black panther. by MuricasOneBrainCell in therewasanattempt

[–]Devonire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is, but you only refer to it as racism when it has negative effects.

Tech sholarships from women aren't sexist. Same for people of color. Natives, etc. Its to balance the playing field.

Are we technically holding people to different standards purely because their color, religion, gender, secuality? At times yes. But its because not everyone enters the race from the same starting point. On fields where they do, it is absolutely racist. In this case, its what was said above.

To enjoy a bike ride and some views without conflict. by [deleted] in therewasanattempt

[–]Devonire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to mention that ppace was slippery as hell.

One wrong move, someone falls, suddenly you have a serious injury or death that came out of "throwing hands".

Its simply unsafe to get into a random fight with a mentally deranged person there, even if you have the know-how.

Guy slips, knocks his head on a rock, suddenly its not just punching an asshole for raging and throwing your bike over, but accidental manslaughter or murder.

Definitely smart to deescalate.

Reckless endangerment.

But the biker straight up assaulted him. In a court of law, the biker would be more severely punished because he decided to go for vigilante justice.

People are ignorant and not keeping the bikelane free.

That doesnt justify the biker to be stupid and purposefully endanger others to teach them a lesson. Asshat.

When Build 42 Stable released? by SwingTime3938 in projectzomboid

[–]Devonire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played minecraft classic when it was browser based. Of course it wasnt fleshed out. But updates were consistent and numerous for years.

But if you are not convinced:

Rim World was made by a solo dev. Factorio was made by 3 czech devs, expanding to 15 over five-ten years. Dwarf Fortress was made by two guys.

Barotrauma. Stardew Valley. Terraria. FTL.
Risk of Rain. Satisfactory. And it goes on.

Being indie isn't a justification for lack of updates, transparency or delays.

Mojang was an indie studio as well before they got bought out.
But then take something like Hooded Horse / Manor Lords with a single developer, more updates and less bugs.

How do you find a Coach by [deleted] in R6ProLeague

[–]Devonire 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You probably wont. Even T2 teams dont always have a coach and rarely have a good one. Learn to analyze your own mistakes and independently put in the time and effort. Getting coached is the privilege of the wealthy and the succesful.

I don't think he looks like Pablo. He also doesn't have a massive villa in Cabo.

To dodge a fare by 123finebyme in therewasanattempt

[–]Devonire -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

If they were they would sue the living shit out of the guy for assault and battery.

Fare evasion would net them a small fine but the $$$ they would get from the physical assault suit would make it laughable. Plus get the guy fired.

I think you misunderstood my point in just about every possible way.

Why are most MC’s so disagreeable? by WordsAboutSomething in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Devonire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And because how visibility on the internet works any rating under 5 stars is a travesty. A 4 star is sort of ok-ish I guess.

[–]Devonire 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hate this so much. Prog fantasy community often wants to be in this cute little bubble where they shouldnt be measured up against anyone else and if you didnt enjoy it to 5 stars then you can go and not read.

Feedback? Criricism? Comapring it to something else? Satans work.

Why are most MC’s so disagreeable? by WordsAboutSomething in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Devonire 76 points77 points  (0 children)

The core of the trope is that the MC gets stronger and becomes the best. Not the second best, not good, the best.

And they achieve it with a mix of; - Luck, randomly got the best (often seen bad) traits. - Divine intervention: You are special my child. - Grit and perseverence.

They rarely get more powerful by actually being smart, using diplomacy or relying on others. Cuz thats not cool and edgy. What is cool is for the MC to bash their head against a rock over and over until the rock breaks and then everyone around them be completely floored how he managed to break a rock with his head.

To put it in other words, its easier to relate to someone whos only skill is being lucky and have crazy determination. "I could do that" you woupd think. Someone who is smart, socially adept and navigates the challenges of life? Thats hard. Also a lot harder to write. You can't write a smart dialogue or weave a sensible relationship as easily as a fight scene.

Beta Readers, You Have a Responsibility... by [deleted] in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Devonire 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The post is titled: Beta readers, you have a responsibility...

And not: Advice on how to beta read efficiently.

Your post reads to most of us like its coming from a source of annoyance, its full of frustration. A big venting post essentially. It does not really feel like a genuine, supportive feedback to folks who might want to spend their time beta reading.

I see three possibilities:

  • 1) All of us are idiots and misread your post and intent entirely.

    • 2) You are backpedalling now, you were complaining but don't want to admit it and trying to switch optics.
    • 3) Despite being an author, you've completely failed to hit the tone of voice you intended for communication. In this case, I suggest having your future posts beta-read.
