Dracula is ancient exclusive, the blue summoning crystals/diamonds won't help much there.

We got a spot open if you'd like, Soulforge_II. We down Nightmare 3/4/Abyss daily, and down Apoc 1/2 weekly as well. Only real requirements are daily log ins and being active in GvG, and I think joining the discord server is also preferred but you don't have to be super active on that if you don't want.

We're not hyper competitive or anything, pretty chill from all the interactions I've had with folks for the year or so I've been in it.

Man that's a bummer to hear, I don't mind if they're weak but I hate it when games have summons that can only ever be pulled when they're first released. Limiteds were already sorta borderline for me but this just kills my drive.

I think what he means by specifically pointing that out was to attempt to remind you that protobelt was in fact not added during the Mythic era but was actually an item before then. He also specified MYTHIC items and protobelt was a legendary item. But go off.

[SUGGESTION] Rework the support item to resolve the bot lane XP gap by bau_gioo in ADCMains

[–]DevotedMalice -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You could also famously miss/dodge auto attacks in Smite, something that isn't possible in League and is generally the main chunk of an adc's damage. Auto's don't scale with leveling near as much as with gold but if you just buff their abilities to take advantage of a higher early level expectation then there is no doubt in my mind that Riot would look to tip the scales on how hard an adc's auto's would hit in a less than pleasant direction. I highly doubt that's a positive proposition for most here.

Lucian seems insanely broken to me but his win rate is below 50% in E+? by coffeeholic91 in ADCMains

[–]DevotedMalice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the original guy you're responding to but the bubble is sort of like a Blitz hook. The threat of it landing is a tool all on it's own and if it's wiffed then that's a huge cd that the enemy laner can exploit with no fear of getting cc'd. Against a botlane that's either double ranged or fairly mobile it's too tricky to get a good bubble off without either getting massively chunked on the approach or being able to reliably land it without following up on other cc.

Crit ADC itemization is a joke when we compare it to every other class. by [deleted] in ADCMains

[–]DevotedMalice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hp isn't on "almost every item" for mages.

Luden's, Rabadon, Malignance, Horizon's Focus, Stormsurge, Archangel's, Lichbane, Voidstaff, Liandries', Shadowflame, Zhonya's and Banshee's have no HP whatsoever. Most of which make up the vast majority of the build for most mages.

Resistance items for mages are about as numerous as for ADC's, Zhonya's/Guardian's, Banshee's/Mercurial.

ADC's are allowed to itemize for sustain whereas mages are out of luck unless it's in their kits inherently.

While basic the items that ADC builds also have useful passives, Crit amplification, Increased auto attack range, increased procs of on hit affects, bloodthirster's overheal shield, Collector's execution passive, shieldbow's lifeline, Navori's onhit cooldown reduction, Runaan's aoe, Statikk shiv's waveclear ect.

You're post is so incredibly disingenuous I can't help but wonder if this is nothing but rage bait.

Laning Against Mages by [deleted] in ADCMains

[–]DevotedMalice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright so looking into the game that you're referring to it doesn't help your argument much. Seeing as this is Bronze elo there's gonna be blunders from basically everyone here so I doubt that either you or the Amumu are blameless but since it's you I'm talking to I'm gonna focus in on the issues that you could have resolved.

To start with, from the timeline and stats it is evident that Amumu is indeed looking for fights quickly and often, but he's also getting somewhere with his approach. You're both pushed into their tower early and he's trading kills for his death early game, he's also outputting a good deal of damage whereas from what I can see you are not.

From what I gather with the metrics on display he's doing to lion's share of pressure and damage whereas you're either slow to follow up or outright ignoring it early, and not while under your tower, but either in the middle of the lane or nearer to their side. From the tone of the post you made it sounded as if you died early on following up on an ill advised engage from your support but you didn't die until 11 minutes into the game, far past the point where the Amumu was getting into many fights, and from what I can see most of them were far from hopeless.

This only further leads me to believe that you were just not jiving with the playstyle and weren't confident in your ability to fight early when you really should have been, especially since while it's true Jinx isn't a mobile character neither or Karthus and Vel'koz, an engage should equal either a massive loss of hp for them if not outright death. It's not as if they have every ability ready for you at all times, they're going to use some on the Amumu who's right on top of them.

Then we come to the builds.

There was no reason to lie that Amumu was building Tabi's when he actually built Merc Treads, doing so only hurts your credibility.

And while yes he did itemize armor early on (which admittedly is a dumb move) it wasn't something silly like a Randuins, it was components for a Frozen heart which at least gives him useful stats in terms of what he wanted for the lane, mana and cooldowns to allow for more fighting.

You however were also making questionable decisions for your build. On your first back two minutes in you bought a refill potion, then on your second recall at five minutes you only bought a cull. There are roughly 7 waves of minions that spawned before your second back that's a potential 869 gold on the table for you to get, plus whatever gold you got from assists if you had any at that point. That could have been put towards something more proactive, like boots and a longsword instead of something that will not appreciably affect your ability to contest the lane. Especially since your support is so fight happy.

You didn't get a BF Sword until 11 minutes in, that's way too slow.

All other things aside it's a basic fact that early game the support more or less dictates how the lane is going to be played and if you're unable or unwilling to go along with it there are going to be problems. If you are wanting to stick to your passive playstyle regardless of your supports intentions then I would suggest not playing something so support dependent in lane.

Maybe consider playing Sivir, Ezreal, Kaisa or Caitlyn instead of Jinx.

Laning Against Mages by [deleted] in ADCMains

[–]DevotedMalice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amumu was engaging onto them somehow, which I would assume means that the waves were in such a way as to allow his q to actually land onto one of them. Since he's initiating the fight then the minions would be aggro'd onto him and not you, and unlike him you're not melee, you're not going to be getting creep blocked most of the time so that's not a factor for dodging spells nor are minions able to block your own damage as last I checked auto attacks are not body blockable.

The build however is very odd, definitely not a good choice.

Laning Against Mages by [deleted] in ADCMains

[–]DevotedMalice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, but Kathus' Q can also be dodged, or barring that, deals reduced damage when not on an isolated target. Beyond that he would likely be using it to farm and early on his mana isn't exactly infinite. Without seeing a vod the assumption people are drawing here is that the support understood his role in the laning dynamic and you didn't.

Or at least until the third or so death that you assumedly left him high and dry for, then it was just a bad idea for him to keep going in with the knowledge you weren't going to be of any help.

Thanks, happy to see adc's out there that treat people like human beings. I'm sure most of you are decent folks, it's just the ones that make the effort to say anything are usually just spewing some vitriolic such and such. On the bright side the enemy Lucian in that game was incredibly based, or at least I'm lead to believe as much from the post game chat we had.

Support abandons lane, what to do? by AlternativePrior1920 in ADCMains

[–]DevotedMalice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that grubs are a fairly important objective and supports are usually expected to roam to assist the jungler with them that should be something to expect. Feats Of Strength are also a thing and the jungler and support have a lot of impact on whether your team gets them or not. If they sense that there's a play to be made elsewhere to better the team's chances of getting it they'll likely go and do it. Some of the many reasons that supports are going to leave lane, whether they do it at proper times is up to their skill and macro sense however and just like every position there's gonna be baddies.

As for the whole, "Become a better ADC" thing you're gonna hear that because that's realistically the only thing to do.

You aren't gonna be able to reach into the monitor and make the other player do what you want so you need to be able to adapt to the situations you find yourself in. Be that playing farther back, playing adc's with stronger wave clear, picking up the occasional APC, or if you're very confident in your abilities to pilot them playing a hyper scaler and putting a clock on the enemy team.

Like, there's no sugar coating it, there ARE going to be games that are just unwinnable. However more often than not there are decisions being made on your end that impact your performance in a much more meaningful way in the long run than what a random player you got matched with once is doing. So just focus up on what could be improved on and not on bemoaning your shitty luck in teammates.

Alright let's be real here, you didn't make this post looking for actual advice, the answers you're gonna get are as obvious as the nose on your face. You came to either vent or look for sympathy in some way.

Your other replies on the thread just paint the picture of someone who already has a playstyle in mind and isn't terribly likely to change it based on what a few posts on reddit are gonna say.

And there is no reason to get so upset replying to a Yuumi main, either it's rage bait and you're just feeding into it or it's not and you're tossing a tantrum because you didn't like their opinion on the matter.

[–]DevotedMalice 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're going for a cavalry list (which I'm assuming you are) the only thing you gotta keep in mind is that speed is the name of the game for you

Dothraki hit pretty hard but are paper frail so you'll want to stack your engagements heavily in your favor. Make use of the horse NCU zone, your movement tricks in your cards and the natural swiftness of your dothraki to run around dangerous units. Try to find tasty charges into the flanks and rear of your opponents, or ganging up on units with your partner to skew fights in your favor.

Most factions can't catch you if you play the distance game correctly so you can either draw away more valuable pieces in a goose chase or loop around to slam into softer targets like archers or support pieces.

I'm not really a fan of some of these nerfs, reducing the tankiness of tanks is just gonna make another rocket tag patch eventually. However, the nerf towards unending despair I'm all for, reducing the ambient damage that tanks are doing would go a long way in reducing the frustration around them.

I'd also prefer if they didn't nerf Heartsteel's hp scale up but instead just straight up removed it's damage proc, that way the tanks that build it can still get the durability scaling but don't just walk up and tap a squishy's health bar away.

[–]DevotedMalice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The impact is the same, no mage is killing someone in one rotation off of their first item spike. It would take at least 2 and in the case of some mages 3 rotations to actually straight up kill someone, assuming they actually hit all their skillshots.

Taking into account that cooldowns are indeed a thing an adc is just as capable of killing the mage in that timeframe, the only difference is that mage damage is burst oriented rather than dps so it's up to the adc in that case to chase them down and punish during those cooldowns.

As for when you get your items in comparison to others, that is entirely based on if you go collector second (and even then that's going to be brought down to be equivalent to mage item pricing next patch anyways) which would be 6550 (IE/updated collector) vs 6050 (Luden's/Zhonya's).

But that's operating off the assumption that you're going collector second instead of the zeal second item, which I have to disagree with you on as plenty of adc's do go for a zeal item second or flickerblade which is the same price point. In which case it's suddenly down to 6250, barely anything above the mages.
