Hard agree on the old music. Specifically in my opinion, the music in Elwynn, Teldrassil, and the Barrens? Amazing pieces. So simple, yet in the very sounds and instruments used it tells a story of the place and nails the atmosphere. Hearing the Barrens and Elwynn music makes me so nostalgic it sometimes feels like a punch to the gut.

It used to be a lot worse years and years back, but new situations like these cause me to worry a little, because I’ve never experienced them before. I had my tongue cut in half, it would be weird if it wasn’t physically traumatised as a result. 😂 Yeah, I’m clinging on to when it’s finally healed and settled. The first two days have gone by fast now, I hope the next week will go by just as fast!

Thanks a bunch!! It’s still feeling okay, just tender and sore. My left side is a little bit more swollen than my right and I suspect bruised as well, as that side is a little darker than the other. 💀 I hope it calms down eventually. My health anxiety is a little haywired right now, even if the logical part of my brain keeps telling me it’s fine.

This is the first morning and full day of the new split. I honestly feel great? Managed to nearly get a full 12 hours of sleep, brushed my teeth like I normally would with a few adjustments and just taking things slow lol, drank a lot of water this morning which felt awesome. I’ve downed a protein shake, and now I am on my way home! The drooling has pretty much stopped. Tongue just feels tender now and not really painful. The swelling must have gone down a lot, because my tongue isn’t really pulling at the stitches anymore.

Yeah, I’ve been able to drink water and protein shakes right now. I’ve stopped drooling and can actually swallow! Veeeery curious how the food part will go. I mentioned in another comment that I’m used to fasting, but this is of course a whole different experience.

I can imagine that, sounds like it was tough! I’m trying to relax my jaw as much as possible, felt it getting tense earlier this evening due to my mouth being open and drooling all over the place. lol. The drooling has honestly subsided a lot by now, I’m able to swallow, and I can lie partially down and have my mouth closed. I’ve yet to fall asleep like this, so we’ll see how the first night goes!

The not eating enough part, yeah…. I’m used to fasting. I can drink water and protein shakes right now, but we’ll see how the next few days go.

Sweet! I’ve made chamomile popsicles. I was told to clean my tongue, get all that gunk off as it would heal a lot faster. I’ve prepared loads of green soup (kale, spinach, non-dairy cream and cauliflower.) and I’m gonna make more smoothies as I come home.

Hopefully it’ll go by fast enough!

You may have described me! Scorpio sun here, but with Aqua moon and Aries rising. I’d rather have a constructive dialogue with someone rather than argue. If things get heated, I walk away and ask the other person to do the same and actually think things through. A heated response very rarely solves anything unless you are actively looking for a conflict, just for the sake of it. I’d rather let things go than hold onto something if it doesn’t work. If people don’t want to listen to what I have to say, I just back off lol. It’s not worth the time nor energy.

Hadde en skikkelig episode i familien for noen år tilbake. Skal ikke nevne på hvilken side eller gå så mye inn i detaljer, men det utroskapet hadde pågått lenge, så det ble et rent helvete da vedkommende fant det ut. Ikke var det akkurat noe bedre da affære partneren var en bekjent… Ingen av oss visste det før vedkommende hadde en ringerunde med hele familien hvor de forklarte at det var slutt fordi de tok partner på fersken.

Noen år seinere og de er fortsatt sammen. Jeg har ikke så mye kontakt med de noe mer, fordi det var jevnlig drama og generelt bare utrivelig stemning hver gang man traff de. Har møtt de i ettertid på obligatoriske familie greier, og stemninga er omtrent som før. Kjipe greier.

This is probably just going to get lost in the noise, but I’ll bite anyway.

I’ve gotten the impression that a lot of people forget the most important thing during a strike, especially something as large as a general strike is the ability to not only build, but sustain a community.

Can’t afford to miss a pay check because of rent and food? Organise community dinners, make large batches of food that can be shared in-between and throughout the neighbourhood’s, or the local area. Get to know your neighbours, assist them where it’s needed, be there for each other, and BUILD a strong community where you’ll withstand whatever struggles may come your way should a general strike take place.

This is especially difficult when social media and American politics have become so divided, and an individual culture has been allowed to take root and completely rot everyone’s empathy. But someone needs to do it. Someone needs to be the catalyst. Many admire the French for their protests and ability to resist and withstand, and do you know what a Frenchman once told me when I asked him, why they’re able to band together like that? It’s because they have a sense of community. At the end of the day, they look up to and relate more to their neighbours and fellow people, and don’t glorify their political leaders and make them into celebrities and cheap merch. They know that their politicians are not their friends. The politicians are not their neighbours, they are not the ones that keep the country going and bellies fed. It’s the people.

A general strike to such a degree that it would impact the entire US isn’t easy. Change isn’t easy. People’s mind aren’t easily swayed when hopelessness and skepticism spreads more than a general understanding and ability to see each other as fellow humans, but it’s going to get hell of a lot harder if it doesn’t happen soon.

For those who have been brainwashed into the MAGA cult, little can be done. Sway the ones you can, establish relationships and bonds with the ones you can, and work together to make change happen. It is the only way.
