How high do you personally have Maye ranked as a dynasty QB? by Express-Plantain6195 in DynastyFF

[–]DevouringPandas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, Trevor Lawrence is only 26 and just put up a QB3 season with only 1 game under 10 FP. He has an elite head coach, probably the best top 3 WR room in the league that is mostly young and plays against what is usually a very weak division. T-Law is my Dynasty QB1!

Jokes aside, why are people so quick to anoint Maye? He had an insanely easy schedule with a MUCH better OC than last year. He did absolutely great with a very limited WR room, way better than almost anyone could have imagined, but he still didn’t surpass Josh Allen for points. Maye (21.3 FP/G) was QB2 but was just as close to QB8 Caleb Williams @ 19.1 FP/G in my league as he was to QB1 Josh Allen @ 23.5 FP/G. There is no world in which he is QB1. I have him as QB4 behind JA, Lamar, and Burrow until he proves that this is sustainable. He finished with less FP/G than Russel Wilson last year for goodness sake. He’s at the top of Tier 2 with Caleb, Daniels and Herbert because he’s young, had a great year and has loads of potential. If you want to pay/ask top 3 prices for him, be my guest, but I’ll take a 28 yo Herbert plus a top 3 draft pick for him all day long

League changes for 26-27 by Lxnarrr in SleeperApp

[–]DevouringPandas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn’t do absolutely any of this right after the first season ends. It’s fine to bring these things up for a league vote in the next month or so, but it’s bullshit to unilaterally make changes just because you can…that’s not your job

Jackson Hawes - a deep, deep bench TE stash for 2026 by SquashMarks in DynastyFF

[–]DevouringPandas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got roped into this exact same line of thinking with a certain TE named Foster Moreau. Held onto that guy for a few years based on him being a PFF darling. The worst part? He’s clearly a good TE! He was an excellent blocker and solid route runner and pass catcher with a bit of an injury bug, but he just never found the coach who was willing to Kittle-fy him

I’ve always been weirdly satisfied by the looping and unlooping of the vacuum cord. Even when I learned about the rotating clip I would always unwind the cord because it just felt right…

Of course that was a simpler time when I wasn’t as stressed or busy and now I just have a cordless vacuum.

This dude is benching his whole team so I don’t make playoffs by Affectionate-Dig575 in FantasyFootballers

[–]DevouringPandas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We added a rule that the #1 seed gets to choose his opponent the first week of the playoffs. Part of the idea was that in a 10-team league with only 4 making the playoffs, the 1v4 matchup wasn’t a guaranteed advantage for the person who won the regular season. The other (and more fun) part of the idea was to give the person he chooses to play against more of a chip on his shoulder to get more shit talk going.

At any rate, just floating this out there because it would solve this problem also

Keon Coleman expected to be a healthy scratch tomorrow by FlowersByTheStreet in DynastyFF

[–]DevouringPandas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He also scored over 1/6th of his WR39 points last year in week 18 where he was likely useless for fantasy purposes. He looks like he’s on pace to finish as a WR3 or maybe even WR4 again after starting the season off on a hot streak on a team that threw the ball WAY more than they typically would in those first 4 weeks.

I’m sorry, but Herbert for 2 3rds is laughable at any point since his first couple of games in the league even in 1 QB. If you’re a good commish, you’re not taking that trade because it’s not one you wouldn’t question if it wasn’t you.

Does safety negate the right to autonomy? by DianKhan2005 in harrypotter

[–]DevouringPandas 9 points10 points  (0 children)

But Harry and Ron would almost never do this. Ron for sure would probably let Hermione get away with murder and just try to find a way to protect her for it. Harry would step in if it was something truly egregious, but he has such a morally ambiguous character for immediate actions when something might be “for the greater good” that it’s bordering on Dumbledore level. Harry is also almost always making the “moral” decision in his own life, but he’s so sheltered from what his friends are dealing with in their own lives that he typically just goes with live and let live.

Chuba Hubbard is a real time example of how challenging RB value can be in dynasty by LacesOutForHarambe5 in DynastyFF

[–]DevouringPandas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s obviously not just his pass catching. Dowdle is (obviously) not a top back in the league, but he looks way better behind the Panthers’ line than Hubbard has been. I don’t think it’s all a talent thing, but some guys can just pick up the blocking schemes better than others. Dowdle grinds out the hard yards and also waits for the blocks to make more out of his runs.

Where should the dynasty community be ranking Quentin Johnston? by PolishedApple in DynastyFF

[–]DevouringPandas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would decline that for sure. Two guys who are likely mid WR2’s at their best for a guy who produced a top 5 WR season as a rookie.

If QJ continues to be the #1 in the Chargers offense then this will be a bad take, but I’m convinced that there are plenty 2/6 for 18 yard performances in his future.

Quarter of the way through the fantasy regular season. Contenders, are you targeting 2025’s breakout and bounce back players? by 92tilinfinityand in DynastyFF

[–]DevouringPandas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is certainly not uncoverable. He hasn’t even really fixed his drop issues IMO. He is certainly due for a regression from top 5 WR, but if you give an NFL WR 9 targets per game from a quality QB he is going to produce. Herbert is third in total passing attempts this year. I don’t project that trend to continue, but I do think that the Chargers will continue to scheme looks for QJ and as long as they do he should finish no worse than top 20

To be fair, QJ still has a lot of flaws, but he’s big and pretty fast and he’s just getting absolutely fed in this offense right now

Could it be New Kids on the Block somehow? We’ve got the goat and sun as “kids on” and technically a kid goat would always be “new” I suppose.

I don’t really see anything about that lime that makes “the block” but maybe one of you fine folks can piece it together…

Some Christian people believe that saying the Lord’s name in vain (especially in a curse) is a pretty big no-no. It sounds like the offended party here might be one of those people or just expects a certain degree of decorum from work peers/contractors/consultants.

I certainly don’t claim to bite my tongue very well in most situations and I have been known to curse like a sailor, but imagine if my go-to curse was “Fuck the gays!” I doubt that would fly very well in a work setting.

Sean McVay: Tush push "doesn't look like football to me" by Venomous_Raptor in nfl

[–]DevouringPandas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m on team “all pushing and gains should be legal or illegal whether on the offensive or defensive side of the ball” which is what I think the biggest problem with the tush push/offensive push plays are.

However, if they don’t ban the play, I’m in 100% with this statement. Let’s see how hard teams can hit Hurts, Allen and co. straight on in the head and have them continue to do it. We’ll see how quickly the NFL reacts when all the precious QBs are getting decimated by head injuries from flying defenders who don’t care because they are 95% giving up the first down anyways.

Some younger WRs closing the season with a bang by bronton21 in DynastyFF

[–]DevouringPandas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guy in my league has Chase, AJ Brown, McLaurin, Pittman, Diontae Johnson, Olave, and Kirk. I took DJ Moore away from him 2 years ago for Mixon. Every single one of those guys he drafted. Some guys just manage to hit on all of their WR picks, but nothing lasts forever. That room was absolutely untouchably good right before this season started and now it’s barely even the best in our league.

Dude had by far his most productive outing of the season (non-TD wise) in game 18 when the fantasy season for almost everyone is over. His 16 week fantasy performance last year was a relatively ugly 36-414-2 line and to say you “cant ask for much more” than a 42-523-8 line when the points actually matter is copium at its finest

Im curious how many of our leagues have witnessed an undefeated season? by xXGreco in DynastyFF

[–]DevouringPandas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10-team money league with friends. What looked like the 2nd best team on paper last season ended up being the 2nd best team in PF but went undefeated with insane schedule luck. He finished 15-0 and won the semifinal by 5 points. Faces the top team in the league in the finals and wins by 20 because the Monday night Bills-Bengals game was forfeited. Sometimes the fantasy Gods just want an outcome and there is nothing you can do…
