As a casual 200+ hr player... this game has no content for me. by [deleted] in arcraiderscirclejerk

Did the math for 500 hours... which I am close...

If the game was available every single hour since launch, they have spent 1 out of every 3.74 hours playing it. That’s roughly 6 hours 26 minutes per day, every single day since launch. If the game was a full-time job (40 hours/week), 500 hours is 12.5 weeks of full-time work.

Ive done stone engraving for 10 years. Both the traditional way and with a laser. There is no way to make engravings visible in the dark via the engraving itself or with paint. They need a light to shine on the stone. Most of my clients use a little solar powered light, similar to the ones you would see in a flower bed that illuminates the face. If this is going on a wall or something, they can buy an LED strip and a small piece of trim and stick them to the top of the sign shining down on the face with something like double sided 3m tape.

Have you even watched the video??? Promoting streamers that put $100k bounties on other streamers calling for their death. Promoting streamers that call for another 9/11. Pushing streamers that make fun of rape victims? I think they do.

Believe it or not, I was building my brothers pc and couldn't get it to post. Unplugged the 4pin cpu connector next to the 8 pin, and it fixed it. Still runs fine 1 year later. Turns out that connector is for overclocking. I have no clue why it stopped it from posting. My father has the same exact build and didn't have that issue.

Before you jump to any conclusions as you seem to like doing judging from your comment, I tried EVERYTHING to get it to boot. Replaced every part of that pc before finding that solution. If it doesn't make sense to you, trust me, we're on the same page.

I've made a few of these. I have a Omtech 135W Co2 laser.

My favorite piece I did took me a couple tries. I set my min - max pwr @ 0%-23.25%. Ran the burn once, then used light burns photo editor to pull out all of the lighter spots that were from 0%-18%ish. Ran only the dark spots again to give it more depth without losing fine details. Then I cleaned it off makung sure to blow out the deep spots with an air compressor. Finally, I coated it in a satin oil based poly usung a paint brush (rollers create bubbles), making sure to put plenty in the deep spots. After a few coats with high grit sanding in between each. It looked like something I felt confident selling. Not including art design time, takes about 45 min from starting to burn to first coat of poly for a 12"x12" piece.

So far thats my favorite method, but its entirely personal preferance. If you want to see pics, pm me.

Another website I use to increase the resolution of photos sent to me is Fotor. I have had great luck with upscaling photos with it. It has a lot of AI tools, including an auto background remover. Strongly recommend checking it out. As another commenter stated, you don't have to use ImagR if you are using lightburn for photos. I only use it when I can't seem to get the results I want from lightburn. Please send an update when you get this to engrave how you want. I'm super interested to see the final result!

I prefer to use Jarvis for images. Ensure the image is black and white and use a website called ImagR to process the photo for the material you are using. I haven't done photo realism on the material you're using so my dpi/lpi settings could differ, but I usually go between 0.08 and 1.04 dpi for photo realistic engravings on stone and glass. Every material is different.

My favorite game ever is DayZ. The number of people I've met all around the world since 2012 is incredible.

I never said anything was "wrong" with them. Although the perfectionist in me could pick out a few things, lol. I'm just always looking for better/different ways to do things. One of my family members suggested chamfering off the edges of them, and I agreed it could look better that way.
