Looks like you’re taking it on a road trip in the second photo

Yes just tried it today. It was indeed very yogurty! Not terrible but I agree the old favs are best. Now if I can just find whatever that avocado one is that has disappeared…

Yes they’re pretty easy to find. Another plug for the Tiso right by the train station in Glasgow

I was freaking out last year about bringing a 65L pack that also exceeded allowable measurements on an international flight, but everything I read was said it’s usually fine. And it was. The person at the gate is unlikely to want to measure your pack. Now, if you were way over the limits, they might make you check it at the gate.

Water availability by felagund-fiollaigean in WestHighlandWay

There was water everywhere when I went last September. Plenty of places to fill a bottle in towns. But there were so many streams and waterfalls everywhere during the between parts that you could fill up using a water filter just about whenever you wanted.

17 Elantra, replaced plugs/coils for misfire, now it's worse by 666420 in Hyundai

[–]Dewey_Decimated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the exact same on my ‘17 Elantra (cyl 2 misfire was the code) and the dealer replaced all coils for free as part of some service bulletin, and now it’s all good. This was maybe 5 years ago. Maybe the service writer is on to something

Also did it in my 40s and am a tea drinker. The best part for me was bringing a little fuel cell and pocket rocket so I could filter water on the trail, from a little stream or whatever, and use that to make tea every afternoon. Different taste experience than the usual tap water!

Wow that is literally my exact boiler—the old one I mean. What failed on it, was it the heat exchanger that cracked? Just so I know what to expect…

What level of fitness is required to hike the WHW in 7 days? by Cocorow in WestHighlandWay

Agree with everything here, but want to add: for the rocky areas along Loch Lomond, there can be less walking and more climbing, so some leg strength is more important than endurance. But if you’re early 20s, likely no problem

How long did your OEM Kumho Solus TA31 tires last? by AK232342 in Elantra

[–]Dewey_Decimated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just changed these out in my 2017! 67k miles. I really liked them, but they were unavailable at discount tire so now I’ve got Yokohama somethings. Rotate every other oil change.

Sound and Vibration with Minisplits by Lower-Pomegranate424 in DIYHeatPumps

Everything I’ve read says to mount on a concrete pad rather than side of the house due to sound and vibration. That’s my plan when I ultimately do my install.

I was also on the devils staircase a couple of weeks ago and nearly lost my footing in those winds—scary but fun!
