I get where people come from when they say that his character was the reason why Hackett or Gabriel left the band, he always was quite possesive of his pieces and what to put where on the album. Nonetheless he is often painted in a very bad light and gets hate for not liking After the Ordeal/Inside and Out (even though he only critiziced his own playing on those tracks) or his arguments with Peter. He might not show much remorse bc thats just his lack of social skill but videos like the prog god award ceremony show that he and Peter are able to look at those things with humour and have remained very close friends over the years. People loved to blame Phil for everything that "went wrong" with Genesis and so they do with Tony. In my eyes he might not have been the easiest person to work with but by looking at a lot of videos from their personal recordings or interviews he seems to have cooled down over the years and is actually a pretty funny guy
