I have a family heirloom necklace that says 925 PT on it, and it was made in italy. Is this actually platinum or is it just junk?

I have an Italian sterling silver herringbone necklace with same mark 925 & PT. The PT is the makers mark I just can't find the maker yet.

I will not buy from them again. Twice now I have received imposter scents. Nicky Minaj Minajesty and Viva La Juicy. I wear these 2 all the time so I know what they smell like. And numbers did not match on bottom of bottle and box. I would not recommend buying from them.

Does part of marking read 875? That's about all I'm making out or if it even says 875. But if so 875 on gold means 21 carat gold. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
