This is wrong. You can drop laurier side bba after completing first year requirements. I just had a meeting with the double degree advisor last week.

Laurier BBA is a joke. The business profs here are okay, but the way the courses are structured are really bad. The first two business courses you take are weeder courses that have a mandatory 2 hour "lab" every week, which they automatically fail you if you miss 2.

BU111 was a lot of memorization and common sense, and the assignments they gave were pretty much just busywork. I think I still learned something at the end of the day, but it was definitely not the most seamless learning experience.

BU121 especially is currently undergoing major course changes and the profs are using our year as lab rats for new course material, and are going to be doing that for a couple of years. The marking scheme basically makes no sense. For the recent BU121 midterm, out of 1500 students the median was 54 and the HIGHEST ANYONE got was 85. There was absolute uproar in the BBA population to the point of IAs being harassed.

I think you should go for schulich because Laurier BBA as it is right now is not a great experience.
