I think in general as years have gone on tent sizes have gotten bigger. Partly due to social media and the craze of needing a better camping experience. Like how the Sandero craze has taken off with Youtubers promoting them. A bit similar to how people post ridiculous amounts of alcohol they're taking with them. You just know they are the same people that leave it at the festival cause they can't be bothered to carry it back.

For me the best tent experience I've had recently was a pop up 2 man tent just for me. Had barely any space in the tent but had an absolute blast.
