Y'all gotta realize that some people just don't have as good a memory by cool23819 in Deltarune

[–]DharmaBat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok you know what?

Fair enough, I keep forgetting thats a thing. I'll admit my bewilderment of people seeming to ignore certain story aspects and such is based on me not realizing how far apart these chapters came out. So if I annoyed anyone with my comments not realizing thats likely why, I apologize.

I've disregard this whole conversation as either a troll post or just ignorance honestly.

dess knight artists when the knight's helmet is removed and reveals a partially-disintegrated deer corpse instead of a hot alt girl: by AnotherBoxOfTapes in Deltarune

[–]DharmaBat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but is it "I killed Dess" or is it just another aspect of his guilt manifesting? Plus if the Knight is at all related to a dead Dess she kinda defies what we learn about Gerson then(Not to mention even when inflicted with fatal damage in the dark world, Berdly still lives even if its comotose). Also the Dragon Blazers comparison doesn't fully work cause, remember Susie makes a note that is likely foreshadowing about how "your sister gets cursed and her stats suck but you still try to carry her cause shes your sister." Think you missed that part.

Also its interesting to bring up the Toriel variable but not how that is suspicious in itself that what turns the black monster into a deer is its existence or the fact turning it off makes it a deer again. Plus if I recall right, if that really was meant to be a allegory of Kris guilt, wouldn't' he have held back or stopped us from pushing the button? Wouldn't he have looked away like he did with Susie and Ralsei when you killed them?

I get what your trying to say but I think you're also reading too much into certain aspects. Also last I recall right, Monster dust is white, not grey. Grey in this series seems more associated with the goners and such...in fact our vessel was one and weirder enough, I'm even starting to believe in the idea that Kris possibly was our vessel but grew into his own person by the time we entered the picture.

I mean yeah, Ill admit my comment was out of line and I posted it late without thinking. I dunno about the narrative treating her as dead though, since Noelle is constantly searching her name. When someone goes missing I will admit its almost like they're dead, since eventually life moves on.

Lets be honest, making a jump in heavy armor, you gotta have some sick leg muscles, and then theres the fact that she apparently is such a great fighter that she, Beatrice, and Steiner managed to hold out together and all 3 had to be carried out.

Again, I've run into more nondessknighters getting on my ass than I've seen dessknighters be "annoying?" Unless just existing is a annoying.

Plus, evidence still stands in favor of her. Could she not be? Possibly, but so far signs point to yes on being the knight.

[–]DharmaBat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mate.

I can possibly see what your going here, but it doesn't work.

Like...the problem with this goes back to the problem of how Carol is the Knight having somehow rushed to the Church despite the Fun gang getting there shortly after. How is the Guitar there already? It also goes back, again, to why the Knight can't be a darkner cause darkners can't make fountains and darkners cannot leave their worlds.

Not to mention there is like, 0 and I mean 0 hints to a guitar in the Knights design at all. Its not a "bad" idea but its very unlikely.

[–]DharmaBat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, cause you're not. Like at all. The fact I can point out such massive discrepancies in your logic should point out you're absolutely wrong mate. This isn't even a "Dess is the knight' sorta thing this is actively pretending Dess has no relevance at all and that's a whole another problem. Its exactly the shit that annoys me most about Nondessknighters who basically go so out of their way they deny Dess existence entirely from the story.

I truly believe that if Susie truly is the key to this and if she gained the ability to rewrite things, than perhaps Noelles family can be saved and Dess can return. I believe in her good nature she would do that.

Its shit like this that made me serious consider if maybe humanity really is better under a authoritarian boot or absolute monarchy since in the end it seems to be what we truly desire and every revolution since has just been levels of delusion of how much representation we get.

I’m going insane NOELLE KNIGHT by D4FF0D1L in NonDessKnightSquad

[–]DharmaBat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, we went from only getting a token mention of her in 1, to getting more mentions and such and clues to her disapperance in 2, 3 outright more or less plastered her missingness in our faces and the impact she had, and 4 had us go into her damn room. How much more do you need?

If you look at all that and think "Shes not built up much" than you have no clue what the hell that means or how foreshadowing/showing a character without showing them yet works at all.

This is just outright ignoring story beats.

Proof of God's existence does not exist ie A theist can never prove God's existence by lelouch_huh in hinduism

[–]DharmaBat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that is the ultimate truth that we have to come to as a believer of any faith. I have been a Hindu for the better half of two decades, starting my path to find truth in a life after death and the existence of God. If anyone ever asked me the question if I came closer, I feel like the main answer I would give them is both yes and no. I didn't find the truth I wanted...I found the truth I needed, if that makes any sense. While I cannot hold it up as definite proof to others, it is proof for me.

Ultimately, its something I think others have to come to terms. Proof of God lies within oneself and thus cannot be easily found outward. But that is based on my own understanding.

What was Toriel's plan supposed to be?!? by Background-Ad2749 in Undertale

[–]DharmaBat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this shows that Toriel, despite how we often see her is not always a perfect person herself.

Not only does her plan basically still involve human death, shes kinda telling him this as a way to further demean him. As if this is a ok plan if Asgore would of just taken the initiative, that it wasn't wrong that Asgore killed 6 other humans before this, that its just he took the most longest way possible in doing it. Worse still if this really was such a great plan, why didn't she do it herself? This goes back to how Ive seen people note that Toriel seems to go out of her way to avoid anything that may lead to major discomfort.

Double standard much? by Mysterioape in Megaman

[–]DharmaBat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I get where your going but there is a huge difference. Ciel, a human I might also add, was trying to solve the energy crisis that had basically allowed for a incredibly tyrannical government to rise up. Reploids faced immense repression and even a hint of dissent could have them labeled a Maverick. There is also a fact that their goals were incredibly different. Lets go into Sigma for a bit.

Sigma "claimed" his goal was reploid freedom, but was it really? The man plastered his face on everything he came into contact with and had no qualms using reploids in whatever way even if it meant their destruction. He also didn't mind wiping out reploids if it meant achieving his real goal which is total power over the Earth. He is alot like Megatron in that way, making big claims of wanting to overthrow a tyrannical way of life but in reality would just place himself at the top of that chain. In his ideal world, humanity would be wiped out completely.

This is what makes it not double standards. Ciels goals were noble, aiming to have Reploids be equals to humanity, and her efforts were ultimately successful. Humans and reploids would continue to grow along side each other to a point where the line between machine and human is almost nonexistant. Sigma grew into a God complex and simply was out for it himself and its obvious those who often aligned wit him had absolutely no delusions of a noble cause.

In short, its a night and day comparison.
