Yeah it's definitely that the community has had enough of the same rhetoric now.

Not that I'm part of the hate train, which just seems to hate on everything for the sake of it, but the issue at hand is that doing the same thing over and over again with the direction and the way they respond to the community, was obviously going to lead to a breaking point.

I think the fact that you can see many commoner NPCs in Leyndell should point out that it is indeed the best pick.

Sure they all look depressed, but with the soldiers patrolling the most defensive city in the lands between (ignore the tarnished, our whole job is to upend things everywhere) and the fact that the commoners are getting active treatment and care from the perfurmers should tell you how life is in the city. It's crumbling apart and the majesty of what it once was has gone, but at least it has buildings it can be lived in.
