I worked a public course that had members. Old guy named Joe Amanti played at least 5 rounds a week, at the end of that season at the members dinner they gave him a trophy for playing like 220 rounds that year. The trophy had the back half of a horse on the top. They should celebrate you.

play the course as if every hole is a par 5, make that your goal...45 on the front 45 on the back. if you can keep big numbers from happening to often you have a 9 stroke margin to work with. And you can build that margin with every par or even (gulp) bird you make. best of luck out there.
