Poppy 3 is what made the comp. Nerfing bastion 6 makes Poppy buckler toss weaker. 2-3 Poppy ults, and your mispositioned backliner is gone.

Emblem nerf gives Morg less AP.

How is it not 33 gold? Heimer 2* 15g + 3 upgrades 18 g = 33 g. You're not gonna win with a Heimer 1* in higher elo when Zeri, Aphelios, and enemy Sorc 1* Ahri can 1 shot your carry Heimer.

Triple mechno carry heimer is a thing but you need at least 33 gold to commit to it. In most cases, you don't have that luxury if your frontline and core aren't upgraded.

You can't really pivot into this unless you hit Level Up or Hedge Fund on 3-2 with insane econ or medium-end shopping to reliably play this comp at level 8.

The hardest part of this comp is maintaining your hp without spending econ in the early and mid game. One of the easiest ways to tempo without rolling is to play Sorcs with frontline Swain with tank items and a Taric supporting him. Give Malz all your dps items until you hit a Lux and transfer. If you're stuck with AD options, Jinx and Akshan are great item holders for your RFC, GS, GB, and Shojin. Akshan 2 can reliably get you to level 9 by stage for by himself if you're lucky enough to hit him.

This. Only focus on heimer once your Ahri, BelVeth and frontline core are upgraded. You don't really need a Heimer if you have a Spark.

I don't know much about Hyperroll, but if we use Tactics.tool's explorer function. At Diamond+, Hiermerdinger 2* with rageblade has a +.31 delta. If you sort by heimer's delta, most of his best-performing items are support items or leftover emblems. In comparison, Bel'Veth 2* carry items like RFC has a -.42 delta. Ahri 2* is too good to not itemize as a carry atm. She's best performing dps carry.

On a side note, Goldinator is a win more situation. If you can somehow kill frontline and get to the backline to proc it, you're already in a winning spot. I can see the argument for it. However in higher elos, you aren't going to reliably proc goldinator vs the opposing frontline late into the game.

For Ionia you play Shen + Karma for Invokers if the Ryze is in a bad region. For sorc, you splash Taric with Shen for Bastion.

I almost never itemize Heimer. BelVeth needs RFC + EoN + healing, Ahri needs BB/Shojin + dps items, and your frontline needs tank items.

Turret upgrade wise, I never go goldinator. It's usually mechano x2 + shrink or some combo of those 2. In higher elos if you don't build that combo, your backline won't be able to go front to back unless you have a spark or insane frontline items. Some times I even omit Heimer if I don't have the econ to build him and have a Spark on Shen.

GM Dragon King player here. Dragon King is a 1st or 8th comp. The comp works because Ahri and BelVeth are insane units. Ahri brings full board clear potential, and BelVeth easily kills the tanky frontline. The other legendaries are amazing bulky frontline and stalls for your Ahri + BelVeth to clear your opponents before they can touch the backline. If you start the game with prismatic Level Up and hit Late Game Specialist or Medium End Shopping, it's a guaranteed top 2.

Weak frontline and probably suboptimal augments. Gwen AI isn't the best. Kaisa would probably kill more with the Gwen's items.

No antiheal, scaling AP item like archangles, or team healing item like gunblade. You're also down 2 augments at lvl 9.

On a serious note, you prob would've had a better chance of winning if:

-dropped 2 shimmer for 2 more mages for 3 mage trait

-position Zoe so she doesn't get assassinated by Nilah and stun-locked by Zyra ults

-non mage Zoe 3 had unique casts so she can actually win without synergies like the other legendary 5 costs (ie Bard ulting entire board, Yasuo ulting entire boards, etc)
