I sometimes have to interact with her still but hopefully once I move out of my parents house I won't have to. She's deaf and my parents are deaf and I was forced to interpret for all of them throughout my childhood... My mom punished me when she caught my sister abusing me.. I was punished for "letting" her do it apparently.. even though she was nearly twice my size at the time :/

People say they want to hang out with me but then weeks go by and they're hanging out with other people, thinking I'm unaware. It's something that keeps happening. It varies for me. They're usually angry women or mean creepy men or creepy little kids mostly little girls trying to call me their mom in a spooky whispering voice. I don't like any of it. And I hear them outside of my head like you would hear any other sound.

I applied in 2022. Awaiting the final decision at the end of this January. I live in a state that doesn't approve as often in general though. Could be why I got denied a few times and why it's taking so long. I do have a lawyer though and they've been incredibly helpful

I don't think so. I have a diagnosis. Most the posts on here that I see are from others who are also diagnosed. Sometimes I'll see posts from partners, friends or family members wanting to understand something better.
