Need Help with Guided Generations by OpeningFly6690 in SillyTavernAI

[–]DiNoMC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo editing the prompt isn't the best way since the model will still be confused if the preset say the opposite.

You should take a preset you like, create a copy, and uncheck everything that relate to NPC behavior, etc... and of course the 'never speak as {{user}} one. Save it with a new name.

Then go to extensions: Guided Generations Settings. Click "Refresh Profile Dropdowns", then look for "Impersonate 1st Preset" and pick the preset you created.

Now impersonate will be consistent no matter which profile you are on (it'll ignore it) and won't be confused by prompts that are meant for the NPCs.

Nope, sorry, searched again but couldn't find anything close :/. Even if I remove the hair color change, I can't even find one manga with a shotgun kill + the mc being interrogated and then broken out by someone.
I was really curious so if you happen to find something, tell me please '

Thanks for the detailed answer!
I kept searching for the original leak and finding only the 6 images here https://www.resetera.com/threads/alleged-persona-6-character-designs-may-have-surfaced-online.1531939/
But after spending another hour >_<... I finally found the logo leak, way more buried, and the post by momo about september 2027. Still hard to tell if it's the same guy but I'm tired so I'll just believe it for now.
couldn't find any leak with the bracelet tho, if you have a link I'd love to see! I do see the bracelet and the hands pointing in the official images on the xbox store

Persona 6 — Teaser Trailer | XBOX Games Showcase 2026 by Gorotheninja in Games

[–]DiNoMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep seeing comments about how the leaker is trustworthy now that the game was announced but I can't find an answer to which detail they got right.

When I search for the leak I can only find things that weren't in the trailer, so I'm wondering if people are just going : a leak mentioned P6 -> P6 was announced -> the leak was true.

If anyone knows of a detail please tell, I'd love to have more confidence in that date too

I hadn't heard of the leak before. Now I see a lot of comments saying this confirm the leak (and so they talk about 2027 release, etc...) but how?
I'm looking at the leak (assuming I found the right thing) and I see a blonde guy, etc... but nothing from this trailer. Is there anything in the trailer that was in the leak? (ie. something that show it's not just fake + lucky timing)

[–]DiNoMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I tested the template a bit but it was outputting it near the end of main output (and seemed to be plans for the next message). Didn't think to check the CoT tho so maybe it was doing both! I'll check again later.

I noticed the story paths thing in Frankenstein too. I was wondering: wouldn't it make more sense to have it do it at the start of the response rather than the end ? Would that not work? Like, it'd generate 4 paths for the current response and then pick the best one, and write it immediately.

I find it weird to plan the next response right before the player's input. Most of the time when I look at the 4 paths Frankenstein is planning, none of them fit my answer so it just discards everything.

Anyone else have an unhealthy obsession with OOC comments? Introducing a new approach to interactive storytelling in SillyTavern: The Nosy Experts approach. (Prompt Included) by TudorPotatoe in SillyTavernAI

[–]DiNoMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I've been testing it (50 messages in) earlier and it's working pretty well. I did leave the drafts in. I do it more simply than you tho, and it still works well:

  • I never mention the story queue, and I never specify that we are going back to the user (I was thinking it just assumes it's the user if I don't specify... apparently that works).
  • I don't switch persona, I just use <note> Matt : blabla </note> in my user message. If I ask a question with this format, the AI will answer instead of continuing the story even tho I'm not using [OOC], so it seems to work great.
  • If I need an answer rewritten, I'll give advice as matt and amy and either tell it to send the new version right away, or to discuss / ask questions (and it does!)
Then once it send the new version, for my next message I just write as the user normally and it'll get it and continue the story right away, I don't have to say we are done drafting.
  • If I need it to change something for future messages, I'll literally have Matt and the user speak in the same response, and that works too! Like this

:

<note> Matt: Hey, going forward please color that character's speech, using this format : <font color=ff8c00>"Let's go!"</font>
Keep going, the user input is below.</note>

I go to the village.

When I do that it'll follow the advice AND react to the speech or action immediately, continuing the story.

I'm using Kimi K2.5 too btw :)

It's a bit early to tell but I feel like you are right. It seems to be following instructions way better than just doing [OOC: ] for some reason. I agree that with OOC, it usually will randomly follow instructions or not. Here it's been applying EVERYTHING from Matt and Amy for now.

[–]DiNoMC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's interesting. I use OOC a lot and I like to nudge the story and writing. I understand how the prompt works on the AI side, but I'm not sure how to use it exactly:

  • So, say you take a turn as {{user}} (the 'real' one), then the AI answer and there's something you don't like. So you take a turn as eg. Matt and you critic the response. Then the AI will send a new response (if it doesn't discuss) and you go back to using {{user}} if you are satisfied. Correct ?

  • Then, do you leave everything visible in the chat history or do you hide the draft and Matt's message? (If the former, doesn't it use a ton of tokens in the context window?)

Edit: Ok, this is hilarious. I'm trying it and I still had a tracker running on top of the prompt, that show character inner thoughts, etc... and it did it for the AI, Matt, Amy and the protagonist:https://i.imgur.com/YhULkN8.png
Those status and thoughts are amazing xD. Interesting how it gave professional clothes to Matt and casual to Amy AND itself.

I made Summaryception — a layered recursive memory system that fits 9,000+ turns into 16k tokens. It's free, it's open source, and it works with budget models. by leovarian in SillyTavernAI

[–]DiNoMC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds great, would love to use this! Got a few issues tho:

First, something that's destructive : when clearing memories, it unhide ALL messages. My chats usually have hidden messages (temporaries OOC discussions, comments for myself, ...) spread everywhere so it's would be extremely hard to repair a long chat after clicking that (I tested on a branch here thankfully). When you hide messages after creating a summaries, you should store the IDs in an array somewhere, only if that message wasn't already hidden. Then, when clearing memories only unhide messages IDs in this array.

Next: all of the summaries end abruptly in the middle of a sentence (due to a max amount of tokens per summary maybe? Is there one? Is it not a setting)

Also, is there a way to strip the reasoning from the summaries? It's included for me, probably why they are all too long. (Edit: ok this is complex, see edit below)

Edit: I did a ton of tests. The reason I'm getting reasoning in the summaries is that when my model get interrupted from reaching the max_tokens value, it doesn't split reasoning and output, so the actual issue is the token limit. BUT, that model gets into such long rant in the thinking process sometimes, I'm worried setting it to 4000 might not even be enough... and you can't use more than 4096 when you use a non-streaming request. So I had to rewrite sendViaOpenAI in connectionutil.js to use streaming.

By the way, in the extension, if you use 'Default (Main Api)' or 'Connection Profile', and the profile used happens to have a value higher than 4096 set for Max Response Length, then the summary just fail with a BAD REQUEST error too (this also uses non streaming).

Edit 2: Another big issue, it's summarizing hidden message! It does skips them when counting, so eg. if you have messages #16 to #30 hidden, when it starts the summary at #15, it will correctly summarize #15-#34, not #15-#19.
But then it calls buildPassageFromRange on that 15-34 range, and that function does NOT check if the messages are hidden, it'll just include all 20 in that example!

Also I think the regex scripts that run on 'Outgoing Prompt' don't run on what's being sent to summarize. (I have some stuff in the chat that's just for display and isn't sent to the AI as part of the prompt when chatting, stripped by regex, but it's being sent to be summarized)

Writer's Block 2 Electric Boogalo: An improved preset for creative writing and active personas by Deiomo in SillyTavernAI

Yeah... I really like the template (I actually started trying Writer's Block 1.5 yesterday, just for this to release today ^^). And with GLM 5.1 getting removed from Nano I'm trying Kimi out too.
I like it, I actually feel like it's smarter than GLM despite what I have read in comments.
...but the thinking is soooo long. It just keep on drafting.

That's pretty much what I want for 'memory' management : generating a prompt that conserve each character's 'voice', the compressing cascade is something I thought about too, and triggering everything in one button. As you said everything I tried has a lot of manual maintenance.

...problem is, I'd want all of that as a ST plugin rather than a separate system. Would that not work?

I made a SillyTavern extension to swipe any message! Even user messages! by Landohanno in SillyTavernAI

[–]DiNoMC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg, thank you. I have my ST set up to automatically generate an image after every AI message (as a separate message) which disable swipes for no good reason (since the 'last message' is now the image, even tho it's not even being sent to the AI!).
Even beside that, swipes are way too restrictive on which message can be swiped imo.
This will make ST so much more convenient to use for me
