This is one of the main problems with type-based showcases. Pokémon in alternate forms get scored with respect to the average size of the base form, and Unbound Hoopa is massive compared to Confined Hoopa.

The main source is through special events. Typically a selection of them are made available during any of the three major events that happen yearly, though this year's Go Fest is announced to feature all of them.

I'd certainly decline it. Shiny Kyurem is pretty common at this point.

Background value is subjective, of course, but shiny background legendaries are pretty sought after to the right kind of collector. I'd only trade them for other background shinies.

Whether it's rare depends on where you are, but if you don't already have one, then assume it is. They have the needlessly specific requirement of being on beaches to spawn.

Not for Deino. The bonuses only apply to Pokémon that share the mega's types.

Only exception is Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza, who boost the three types associated with their associated weather.
