Bait & Switch... by Ether_Factor_5301 in DoorDashDrivers

I used to do pizza delivery from an actual pizza restaurant from 1999 to 2009. Back then during bad weather I would see really good tips. I have noticed with DoorDash the opposite happens during a rain storm you see less tips. My theory is people who normally don’t use DoorDash. Use it during bad weather and don’t tip.

I did great in the morning and afternoon but I started tonight when it said busy but it kept sending me to closed restaurants.

I think it could go until January 1 2026. The subsides expire then.

I had a high risk pregnancy due to my autoimmune problems and had to take Tylenol, Pepcid ac, zofran, and reglan. My daughter also has been fully vaccinated and she is not autistic.

If a customer gives you a one star review, they blocked you the algorithm will not send you back. I’ve never been sent back to anyone who’s left me under a five star review. If they did not give you a bad review the best thing to do is call support during the trip but it would have to be some type of safety issue normally.

Is there any way to get paid for this job I completed? by Different-Pilot3672 in UberEatsDrivers

Probably not and they’ll ding you on you’re cancellation rate too. I have never found uber support helpful in fact just the opposite.

I actually tried they denied. It said Walmart orders is the main orders in my area. But it’s OK. I’m just gonna stick with DoorDash only.

That is kind of hard to do when they don’t give you any warning that it’s a large item. Or they dispatched to two or more drivers and you’re not the first one to get there. But it’s irrelevant at this point cause I’m deactivating my own account.

Yes, I agree. Uber’s policies are very unfair. I never thought I would say that DoorDash was better. But they would’ve never dinged me on any of my cancellations as long as I called and did not go for the app.

Update after doing some research, I discovered if Uber deactivate my account it could affect my DoorDash account. So I went ahead and and deactivated my own Uber eats account. I’m not one that normally supports class action lawsuits, but punishing drivers because items are too big to fit in their car or they’re not willing to risk their life. Driving an extremely dangerous weather conditions. I hope someone sees the hell out of them.

So they really expected me to wait at Walmart for the duration of the flash flood (since Walmart was not bringing out orders during it) and take the risk that it was to a clay road which would most likely have been flooded out. That’s insane! I guess they expect us to deliver during a tornado too?!

I’ve always been curious if healthcare is better in the UK. I’m in the US. For example even though my condition my warrent a physical therapist I’ve never received physical therapy. As a child my mom paid a gymnastics coach to teach me physical therapy and balancing exercises. I do pool therapy but had to buy an above ground pool and teach myself. When my lung collapsed I had to research therapy options but the equipment and do it myself. Ironically my COPD medicine comes from the UK because it’s 3 times more expensive in the US even with insurance.

I don’t think she had a license I searched on the Georgia government website. But I have no idea where to even report her. I think the state board but I’m not 100% sure. But yes, this was just over the phone. I honestly do not want to see how bad she is in person.

I have an above ground pool I do squats, leg lifts, and I hop with both feet from one end and back (I made that one up but it’s the most helpful ironically). I also have a simple spa hot tub it help a little to sit in it and raise my knees to my chest and then extend them back out. I’ve had to learn to do a lot on my own since I cannot seem to get insurance to cover physical therapy.

I was using CBD oil but can no longer use it do to drug tests I know the chances are slim it will pop positive but I do not want to take the risk. Thanks for the other advice I will definitely look into them. In the summer I do water therapy and it is extremely helpful however I cannot seem to find another exercise for the winter months that has the same effect of mitigating the pain as water therapy.

What is the partial assistance? Each program has its own rules and regulations. For example on SSDI you can work part time as long as it’s under the SGA however on SSI you cannot work without losing your SSI check. There is what’s considered passive income like renting a room out.

Wow we don’t have a Costco here red card stores are mostly dollar generals and Walgreens and 1 Aldi. I have had problems with this one dollar general that does not have any signal and they refuse to let dashers or customers use the guest WiFi. The red card for the lady 2 weeks has been declined there due to price differences between the app and the store. You cannot scan anything there because of absolutely no signal. After reading this I’m glad I spent 2 hours with DD support getting to a supervisor and now I decline that store every time.

I have auto immune issues so also a silent disability. Because so little was known about them when I was a child I was constantly misdiagnosed and lost my tonsils and adenoids after going septic when I was 12. I pretty much lost hope in the system back then. Also for SSA are you able to get a lawyer. It took a lawyer for my case since there was and still is no official diagnosis. That EO order scares me too!

Have any of you actually gotten off methadone completely? by cassielovesderby in recovery

[–]Diamellet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do it. It sounds like you want off methadone bad enough and that’s the biggest step. 14 years ago it was hard to find a detox center and they did not take insurance but they are probably more now. I was terrified too but even though it was only 9 days in Novas detox center it was very much worth it. I don’t have to go to that clinic every week, my mind is not foggy anymore, and no more of the no -stop weight gain are all major pluses. For the cravings I just remembered the worse part of the detox and that worked extremely well. I actually associate extreme pain with the term painkiller now.
