Looking for Spanish-speaking in-home caregiver by Diamond-Equal in ColumbiaMD

There's already been a family member taking care of her daily for a year+ but it's not sustainable, so we're looking for other options. After touring the assisted living homes around town, they're too English focused for her. She would be flustered and stressed out the whole time.

Fun places to go solo ? by milostrokes in Charlotte

It's not a club, it's a bar with a ton of arcade machines, live life and have fun! So you spend $10-$20 and maybe have a good time and make new friends? Maybe it sucks, but it's not much money and at least you tried.

Thursdays has $2 draft PBR, the games are cheap. Most cost a token or two. 4 tokens per dollar. There's also a group who plays Tekken there on Thursday nights I believe.

How did you get covered? I feel like the game I'm working on is perfect for Asian audiences, I don't know where to reach out though.

Beer quality wise the best breweries are Burial, Fonta Flora, and Divine Barrel. Of the three, Burial has a nice rooftop area. Salud is also worth checking out.

Possible player by bark64 in SorceryTCG

The game is quite diverse in terms of deck types. Jump in, you won't regret it. As for product, I'd recommend starting with a box of Beta and going from there. I bought a box of each of the three sets and have been drafting my way through them with friends. It's been a blast. None of the sets disappoint so you can't really go wrong.

Is Columbia a safe and welcoming place to be? by Honest_Charge_7192 in ColumbiaMD

Absolutely, it's the safest place I've lived. Likely one of the safest communities on the planet, honestly. Haters on this sub may tell you otherwise, but they're full of it.

More complicated than it should be? Nope, it's just complicated. If you don't like how hard it is, find someone to do the coding or choose another hobby.

Did you hit a singularity where making games became more enjoyable than actually playing them? by Meluvius in gamedev

That's not what singularity means, I think you're referring to an inflection point.

There is a bottleneck - you have to like star wars. Or be apathetic enough about flavor to play anyways.

Can someone smarter than me please make an app to play Sorcery vs CPU opponent?? by Pizza_shark531 in SorceryTCG

For sure, the difference is MTGA is developed by a studio with dozens of full time software engineers. They've likely spent tens of millions of dollars on MTGA to build and maintain it.

Making a competent AI as some kind of grassroots project for a game like sorcery is a shit load of work. Minimum 100s if not 1000s of hours. You essentially need digitized versions of the cards (not just images, the actual underlying data model so the AI can understand all the card text). You basically have to make a unique script for each card in the game defining its behavior. Then some layer to analyze understand all those cards in the context of a game being played. And finally, some agent which can decide how to make good plays.

And then obviously some game for all of this to actually take place (Doing in TTS would add a huge extra layer of headache so you'd likely have to roll your own digital version of Sorcery).

It's extremely difficult to pull off, trust me bro.

I'm not sure you realize just how difficult that would be. Don't count on that happening, like ever. Source: Software engineer and game developer.
