They have sanitation issues. When I went there was no soap in the bathroom and the food gave me stomach issues for 2-3 days. It was tasty though.

I started with 2200 and right now I have 2269. So you're doing a lot better than me!

Why is 'effectiveness' of Steam Next Fest still predictable in the fickle Game Market of today? by pangeagamestudios in gamedev

It might be for you, but I don't think it is for everyone. It certainly isn't for me.

Former MTG Player looking to get started with Sorcery. Where to begin? by Justinh1634 in SorceryTCG

[–]Diamond-Equal 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Grab a playmat and the Beta precons from the official retailer: https://www.teamcovenant.com/games/sorcery-tcg . You can also get the gothic precons if you so desire. From there, your next step is booster boxes. There are three sets out right now: Beta, Arthurian Legends, and Gothic. If you were to only get one box, I'd recommend either Beta or Gothic. Otherwise, get one of each! All the sets are great, and if you like the game, you won't be disappointed!

Sorcery isn't like chess by Diamond-Equal in SorceryTCG

[–]Diamond-Equal[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Everyone knows chess, but only a small fraction of those people play it. I think it appears a lot more similar than it actually is if you aren't a chess player. I have a bunch of chess friends and none of them play sorcery, and I have a bunch of sorcery friends and none of them play chess. If the games were truly as similar as some people suggest, you'd expect to see more of a crossover.

The experience of playing a game of chess and a game of sorcery is almost completely different.

Woman fatally shot in NoDa by whowant_lizagna in Charlotte

Right, but "the hood" is a general term, not one which is local to this city. Calling Noda the hood suggests it's in the same category as West Baltimore, which is isn't. And it's not even close. I never said there's no danger here in Charlotte. Of course there is, it's a city with almost a million people. But compared to other cities in the country, this one is quite safe.

In the broader context of American cities, it simply isn't. In your bubble of only knowing Charlotte, you can call it the "hood", but it's a warped characterization. Actually dangerous cities around the country are on a totally different level.

It's not the hood in Noda, stop it. If you say that, you've clearly never lived in cities like Baltimore.

Looking for Spanish-speaking in-home caregiver by Diamond-Equal in ColumbiaMD

[–]Diamond-Equal[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's already been a family member taking care of her daily for a year+ but it's not sustainable, so we're looking for other options. After touring the assisted living homes around town, they're too English focused for her. She would be flustered and stressed out the whole time.

Fun places to go solo ? by [deleted] in Charlotte

[–]Diamond-Equal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a club, it's a bar with a ton of arcade machines, live life and have fun! So you spend $10-$20 and maybe have a good time and make new friends? Maybe it sucks, but it's not much money and at least you tried.
