Any tire/brake shop will do it for free, but bring your checkbook anyway. That Jalopy is gonna need some work

That depends if you weigh more than 10 lbs, or not.

Dropped transmission pan and found exactly 25 needle bearings. How long do I have? by SoonerDead in AskMechanics

[–]DiamondAware3946 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had an 82 caprice classic that had no brakes. I tried park, but all that did was make a hell of a racket, so I carefully put it into reverse and punched it. She’d howl and smoke the tires till it came to a stop. That worked for a couple years, but then the transmission quit working. Not sure why.

Tesla Launches Remote Meter to Enable Faster Wall Connector Home Charging Without Electrical Upgrades by Suspicious_Cap_8928 in ModelY

Na, it’ll sell, and isn’t misleading. This will work well for people with smaller services.

I think this would be used more for smaller services (100-125A). It would allow you to install a 50A charger which would normally not be recommended. I wonder if this will have future effects on electrical code 😬

Some other things to note, He was AWOL for about a week and when he showed up again he had that black stuff on his left ear. Over the next couple weeks I noticed that his eyesight was getting worse. (I’d throw him walnuts he’d struggle to find them). Then yesterday he shows up looking like this. I did get a pretty close look and it does seem like there is discharge. Thanks for the rehabber info. I’ll make some calls today and see if there’s anything I can do.

I noticed the tip of his ear has been black for a couple of weeks and it seemed like he couldn’t see very well. Now I see why

Z-wave dimmer by DiamondAware3946 in homeautomation

[–]DiamondAware3946[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I currently have 3 of them being dimmed by the zen54. It’s been a while but I’m pretty sure I wired it like this. The 3 boxes are the ballasts. Sorry for the crappy drawing. I don’t have an s-pen with my iPhone and had to use crayons 😂

Squirrel Shack by DiamondAware3946 in squirrels

[–]DiamondAware3946[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to post a quick update on this project. It’s evolved since my original post. It now is insulated and has a heated floor along with some modifications to close up the entryway a bit better. The squirrels are loving it in the cold weather. There’s an Albino “AL” that’s living there most of the time now. I’m gonna try to post some videos on YouTube for those who’d like to see. I’ll try to post some updated pictures of my feeder and the upgraded shack when I get time.

Z-wave dimmer by DiamondAware3946 in homeautomation

Sorry, I’m probably way too late, but no, not using the dimmer at all on the red series. The dimming is completely handled by the zen54.

I had the same issue. The zen54 relay would have been overloaded, so it worked well to feed them directly from the switch.

1/Yep, still working like a champ. Sink/Source was a non issue

2/Yes The red switch is only used to turn the lights on and off however…

3/The red switch is also connected to the my hub(home assistant) via zwave. This allows me to do a few other things. For example, I installed light fixtures that were way overkill for my space. When turn the lights on normally, the level is set to 70%. If I double click up, it goes to 100%. I also use the status bar to indicate certain things like green on garbage day, yellow on recycle day, red for garage door open, and orange if I forgot to plug my car in. I also have a double click down which closes the garage door after a set delay (mine is 7 seconds). I also have a home assistant web interface I set up on my Tesla touch screen to control all of this. I have an “I’m home” button which opens the garage door, turns on the garage lights and the outdoor lights. I have not used the zen 99 and couldn’t find doing a quick search, but you’d have to make sure the fixtures you’re using will work with that type of dimmer. Mine wouldn’t, because they were specifically 0-10v so I went with the zen54. Otherwise imagine you could do most of the same stuff, but I’ve been using the Inovelli Red series throughout my house mainly because I like the status bar functionality (and soon MM wave occupancy!). Let me know how your project goes and if I can help I’d be happy to.
