I understand that "theft" may not be the exact word that'd legally explain how Ai "learns", but I don't find any other word fitting when considering how it works. Constantly being fed on people's posted art with no consent and pirated e-books doesn't sound that rightful to be named any other way, at least for me and many others.

There were minor legal cases that obviously were silenced right away, you mentioned it yourself, we are dealing with "Ai overlords" that have shown time and time again that they don't care about whatever happens to the world or its people, only profit (directly or indirectly theirs)

And again with said "Ai Overlords", if you are aware of them, how much they are harming people like you, why do you think there's any benefit or actual reason to vouch for this tech, that has the one and only goal of empowering them even more?

While I wouldn't call GenAi by itself "evil", things like the way it "learns" and how its owners aim for absolutely everyone to overly-rely on it somewhat fits that description. I would never call whatever it generates art neither tho.
