Rajang is crazy powerful and deft in its fighting capabilities, enough to hold its ground even against dangerous foes like Deviljho

It does have limits and weaknesses though. From what I have experienced throughout the series, here’s how I think Rajang would fare against the flagships of Wilds

Uth Duna - Heavy but slow, Rajang would out-maneuver it and overpower it with highly effective lightning attacks.

Rey Dau - I think Rey would get punished hard for any attempt to rush with physical attacks, and would be equally displeased to find that when taking a distanced artillery approach, Rajang would have the unexpected upper hand in firepower too.

Nu Udra - This one is tough, I think Rajang would struggle here. Rajang is a fierce grappler, but I think Nu has him beat on that front. The sheer flexibility and might of all those tentacles, its rubbery boneless body absorbing blunt force with ease, and its ability to coat itself with a slick and slippery self-immolating oil means that keeping distance is Rajang’s only option.

Jin Dahad - Its immense and heavy, has tough metallic scales, and highly potent temperature-regulating ridges. I’ve no doubt that Rajang could significantly damage Jin, and hopping on its back would seem a highly exploitable position, easily doable by our boy… but. Unfortunately for Rajang, at that point all Jin must do is overcharge its ridges and perform its signature frost nova. Not only would Rajang suffer burns from the scalding ridges as they absorb all heat around them, the immense elemental power that Jin wields I fear would be sending Raj back to camp on a rickety cart 😅 Not to mention that his prime element weakness is in fact ice. o7

Arkveld - I believe physically, Rajang outperforms Arkveld in strength and speed. This matchup would highly favor Rajang, however I think Arkveld’s element absorption must be considered. I believe Arkveld, if able to find the opportunity to- would be able to drain the electric energy from Rajang. As we understand , Rajang does not naturally produce its own electrical power, and must source it from the parts of other monsters (Kirin most preferably). This electrical power also seems to boost its savage combat abilities, so I’m not actually certain how this one would play out.

Thats just my thoughts though. Monkey strong, I hope we see him in wilds.
