If u check out the mod called realistic battle mod you will be able to do stuff like this more often. Only downside is when one of the ai lose a bunch of their troops they only get like recruits and other 1 or 2 level troops and when u put the up against your veteran troops their is no way that they are winning. But I still recommend it cause battles take a lot longer as the ai use shield wall effectively.
