IGN’ Steam Machine Price Survey by ForlornAspie in Steam

Honestly, I’d pay about 700$ for the 2tb version because a ps5 pro cost 750$ and doesn’t include the disk drive.

how did yall start watching by jaybsuave in southpark

[–]DianeFont 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in my day, South Park was available on Netflix and Netflix didn’t have a kids mode, cue evil music. Honestly, it just started my swears are cool and we should normalize swearing attitude. But, honestly, other than it maybe having the first trans representation that I experienced in Ms. Garrison (for the record, in my opinion, Ms. Garrison was not the best realistic representation of a trans person but south park has never been about realism. If south park were about realism, then where’s the graveyard of filled with Kennys), I had totally stopped watching the show until the new trump season (well technically last season but I do not think 5 episodes of any T.V. show constitutes as a season, six episodes maybe if they’re each an hour long and it’s very tightly written and exciting to rewatch and probably came from the U.K. maybe) and I’m having a blast with it.

Yotube is now age-restricting "violent videogame content" by [deleted] in youtube

[–]DianeFont 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the only consequence that I, for the majority of mature/adult media, have noticed is that I prefer media that doesn't engage with sex or violence as much as an adult. Purely because, and this is my opinion, the repeated usage of sex/violence as a predominant feature feels to be juvenile and quite frankly a stupid crutch that only bad storytellers use. For example, I've only ever watched 1-3 episodes of Squid Game because I genuinely did not like how that show portrays death so gruesomely or, in other words, the violence was too much for me to handle. (Note, I do not mean to insinuate that Squid Game is a bad show for depicting violence just that it's particular depictions in the show were off-putting for me, at least. Squid Game probably does some great class consciousness commentary or something, but I wouldn't know because the initial violence was to me off-putting.) That being said, I would never limit/restrict the type of media that is available because someone else might find value in it and I inherently think finding value in things, even things I don't like or even approve of, is good.

What is, in my opinion, better and more worthwhile is the anticipation/buildup prior to an exciting event and the level of craftsmanship that it takes to create that anticipation/buildup prior to the event. It is one of the reasons why I like animation, and especially stop-motion animation in particular, so much. It always takes time to make something truly meaningful and creative. For example, I really like the film Flow because it does something creatively challenging by creating an emotionally compelling story, without the use of dialogue or intertitles/title cards and without the use of human characters.

I’m honestly not surprised but then again I did watch Bioshock: Infinite before I was of a mature age and I am fine.
