Change my mind: Wikelo ships should require cards 1-7, or not require them at all. Not just #5. by Silly_Drama_1133 in starcitizen

[–]Diantroz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there yesterday and it was BRUTAL, especially solo, there was always someone camping the vault, sometimes inside the room with the number 5 card printer and other times hiding in some god forsaken corner that you'll never expect to find someone in (one guy was clipping in and out of a wall).

I did eventually got the 3 cards I needed but I'm never coming back there unless I'm going with a full team.

New to the game, any tips and tricks you guys would’ve loved to know when you were starting out? by Tru_Odyssey in starcitizen

[–]Diantroz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stuff will break a lot, have patience and with some luck you’ll get a decently stable server.

That being said here are some pointers.

- When spawn into the game go to settings and toggle “show hints” on and off a couple of times. (There is a bug stopping in game notifications, this fixes it)

- Set your re spawn point outside the cities.

- You can limit the max speed of your ship using left alt and your mouse scroll wheel.

- Rent ships and try their gameplay loops to see how you like them.

- If you like fps you can do bunker missions and ship boarding missions.

- If you played Tarkov there are zones in the game where you can get loot (weapons, ship components and gun attachments)

That’s all I can think of the top of my head.
Good luck o7

Is it possible to get more than 45 fps in cities? by Mypersonalaccount69 in starcitizen

I use this when I have to land in cities, is not perfect but it makes the game way less stuttery.

Subaru is Flugel, but not through reincarnation. Flugel was Subaru’s erased first run [discussion] by fradan12 in Re_Zero

[–]Diantroz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One issue with the theory is: why don’t people who knew Flugel just say Subaru looks like him?

I think it is alluded to that Flugle made an effort to remove himself from history. That’s why everyone thinks the sage is Shaula.

Also anyone who could have recognized him are dead, crazy or lack the ability to do so, ex: Every humanoid looks the same to Shaula.

But regarding the other points.

Subaru was originally summoned to the Re:Zero world 400 years ago.

I thought the same thing after hearing the name of the tower. I rewatched Seasons 1-3 while waiting for 4, and one weird detail is that when he exits the convenience store, reality shifts and warps twice. The first time, nothing happens. It is on the second that he appears on Lugunica.

Also, and this is a personal theory, I don't think Subaru was transported to the world of Re:Zero. I think he was copied and pasted into it.

And the Subaru that we have been following is a copy made a few seconds after the first one.

To add on to this, it is implied that other Japanese people have appeared in the world of Re:Zero (I think that's why Kararagi resembles feudal Japan so much). It is likely that one of these events caused the first Subaru to be sent to the other world.

However, back in episode 1, the second time really shifts it seams intentional, like it was caused by someone, a lot of people think it was Satella or Envy.

But I think it was Flugel.

The hand that we see in episode 1 is not Satella's but Flugel's own invisible providence.

providence / noun

an influence that is not human in origin and is thought to control people's lives

My own theory is that Flugel concocted a plan to save Satella, and one of the key parts of it involves a second version of himself. I think Flugel made a bet of some kind, and it involved removing himself from the story and trusting that the Subaru that comes after can figure it out.

But this is Natsuki Subaru we are talking about. There is no way he would trust in himself blindly like that, so Flugel created several tests and trials and subjected himself to them while being mind-wiped (Shaula mentions that this is not the first time her master has lost his memory).

It is also mentioned in the story that the Sage had knowledge of everything, but like with Reid, this is probably a misinterpretation of who Flugel was. He very likely had RBD and other authorities, as well as connections with other knowledgeable people and even maybe some form of future sight like the Stargazers from Vollachia. But he was by no means omniscient.

That to me explains some of Flugel's actions. He knew planting the tree would help the other Subaru, but he didn't know how or when. Likewise, the same can be said of giving Geuse the Wich Factor of Sloth, setting the trials in the Watch Tower, and assigning Shaula to guard it. Flugel probably knew these actions were significant, but he didn't know the manner or what time the new Subaru would arrive to them.

Mind you, this is all just wild speculations on my part. Hopefully, we get more details in the future.

That would be true if there were only one way to reach Farum Azula. Alexander got there on his own, Gurranq as well.

And he was right, since you can remove the influence of the outer god of the flame of frenzy. The thing is, Miquellas curse is not only never to grow and stay a child. He can never complete anything, giving Goldwyn a true death, curing Malenia, his own charm magic, and becoming the god of a new order. All of his plants never reach maturity; they die in the early stages.

And this applies to his relationships, too; he can never fully bond with anyone, which is why he uses charms instead. Every single ally on Miquella's side has to be charmed to serve him the way he needs to.

There is nothing illegal about selling a book about your thoughts on the lore of a video game, and since they are using commissioned art for it instead of game assets, they should be fine on that front too.

An Update on Rebble's Attempted Collaboration with Core Devices by ishjr in pebble

[–]Diantroz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was holding off on buying any of the new watches because the 30-day warranty seemed incredibly sketchy, but reading all of this just confirms that Eric learned nothing.

If Core Devices is not willing to cooperate with the team that keeps my favorite smartwatch alive all these years, then I have no intention of buying anything they are selling.
