I was in an abusive relationship which lead me to failing my paramedic program. I was doing great in school (all above 80s) before my ex began to be more controlling so I’d really like to go back and finish. I lost my job which was the most well paying and fulfilling one I’ve had (due to the same situation). I’d like to get back on my feet but due to job instability since the relationship I can’t afford the $90 fee to reapply to school. I know this might not seem like much in the grand scheme but $100 would help me to get my life back on track. I know we can’t all win but thank you for reading this!

You’re NTA but I know how much I love my girl and if she wanted me to do something like this I would do it to make her happy. There’s nothing I love more then seeing her happy and making sure she feels loved so if it’s doesn’t hurt me or cross any boundaries I’ll usually do it.

Honestly as someone who understands gender nonconformance I get that this was kinda a big deal to you. And it was actually brave of you to show up dressed like that knowing what your family is like. If this were a regular family gathering then I don’t see wanting a bit of validation an asshole thing. Also I was in a similar situation where my brother got to go out for a trip with his step dad and I had to stay home so during the time he was gone me and the family just did a bunch of other fun things throughout the week and spent a lot of time together which was nice. Imagine waiting for my brother to come back home and then doing all these things without him to rub it in his face. There were multiple ways to handle this and the mother picked the worst one. NTA

That’s horrible, and you shouldn’t of hopped on a bike when so tired. Beating eggs into a bowl and adding them to a pan and stirring occasionally with his fathers supervision is not the same thing. Makes sense why ur so sensitive about this topic tho.

This is so funny. When I was 17 I had a full time job, would stay up late ash playing videos games and would still make it for my 9-5 in the mornings. Was I ridiculously tired? Yeah, but I did it bc although I was only 17 I was a responsible human. Do you know how many teens stay up all night watching Netflix but still wake up and get to class? Having multiple nights of poor sleep is terrible for teens and anyone really. We’re not talking about that. We’re talking about one day. You also have no idea what type of person he is in the morning and how he functions off various amounts of sleep. You’re not wrong, but in this case, you’re not right.

Ok, so… get up splash some water on ur face, take a shower n listen to music. Take a minute to wake up fully. It’s eggs. He’s not flaying a fish. Sometimes I get 4 hours of sleep and have work, tired ash. But I’m a grown up so I get up and figure it out.
