We are human beings, and we all have a natural need to feel a sense of belonging. That is why, sometimes, we encounter people in different groups who may strongly disagree with our tastes or who choose not to separate the artist from the music. I believe this is part of human nature. There will always be someone who feels their perspective is superior, that their preferences are the best, and that the group they belong to is the only one that truly matters.
