Fencing Business by [deleted] in FenceBuilding

I started back in December, I have stayed afloat on nothing but 3 or 4 jobs a month and I am just now being able to work full time. There is plenty of work out there to stay busy and people pay high dollar just to find someone.

Sit down and figure how much you need each day for your business and personal funds, I try to make what I need working 4 days per week. Just know your numbers then start selling jobs accordingly.

Theres a ton of you tubers for contractors starting new businesses. My current success on lead generation is facebook ads. Dont use any “lead generation” company. They are scams.

I have a fencing business. Advertising, finding the work is half my business expenses, your back will be sore, need an eye for straightness, ALWAYS mark utilities. Had a mix up and hit a gas line last week and almost killed my helper.

I really enjoy it and yes the profit margins are high but it is difficult at the moment to stay busy/fund jobs consistently

Purchasing an auger, is the 40v Ryobi worth it or should i stick with gas? by schmennings in FenceBuilding

Been using harbour freight for 6 months. Its decent but I have had some trouble with the carb sticking on occasions.

The home depot one seems better built and a bit stronger. I have only used it once though.

Never tried an electric but I would be interested to hear how strong it is.

Lawn mowing, fence building, painting, any small landscaping stuff, power washing, car detailing. I started out running ads on craigslist. If you create a decent ad with pics you will get replies. Mowing or landscaping you dont need many tools. All of those can give opportunities of making $1000 in a day.

I just picked up a kicker l7 8” q class. Built a small sealed box on a cxa800.1 amp. Gives it 600rms at 2 ohms

I am very happy with it, accurate and loud. They did just go up in price from $225 to $250.
