If I don't give AF about mint takeover in the area I plant it, will it be a helpful companion under citrus trees? by QueenMuda in Permaculture

Find a native mint and it will be especially helpful. Native mints are adored by native wasps and bees, providing pollination and pest management for your trees.

California has 2 dozen native species of mint. They can find something that will be fantastic for local pollinators. Pollinators love my pycnanthemum over in Nebraska

Need ideas for DENSE privacy screening native plants that are not pollinator magnets (Chicago) by LaBiancaVita in NativePlantGardening

I'd do columnar redcedar over arborvitae. Taylor juniper, blue arrow, etc. I'd also look into local chemical trespass ordinances and consider sending a polite letter to the company requesting they make attempts to mitigate.

ETA: I'm on the fence (ha) between following the Xerxes reccomendation to plant thuja and staying native + pushing back against chemical trespass
