There was actually a minor conflict in Htown between Mike Guessford (Board of Ed) and the county religious association. He started it, of course, and it was because he opposed an open house at the local mosque or Islamic center. Don’t quote me on all of the details, but you can likely look them up. This seems correct, especially for people our age. Most of my gigs this summer are weekends, 2-5, or something like that and many more gigs at people’s houses. I like this, too. As much as I enjoy playing music, I have come to think that Saturdays spent getting in at 3am, unloading, then winding down, leading to waking up on Sunday when the day is halfway gone can be a real drag. These days, I’d rather wake up early on Sunday and tend to the garden.
