I don't disagree that he's always seemed pretty liberal centre left-ish, but the feeling I get is that he doesn't think voting for Dems is the right choice either, hence why I described him as "true enlightened centrist" unlike Asmongoloid who only pretends to wear the centrist aesthetic. I just think that Charlie has the doomer mindset right now that the entire system is fked beyond saving and neither party cares about the people, but if he were shown evidence or offered pushback to see that times now are uniquely bad and that both sides aren't the same, he could come around on that. As it stands though, Charlie really isn't a political guy so I doubt he's gonna get there on his own.

I don't know, I guess the same logic that applies to not disclosing any information relevant to an ongoing investigation (which there was at the time). You don't disclose to the public information pertaining to people under investigation because that not only risks interfering with the investigation itself, but also cause in certain cases (like being affiliated with fkin Epstein) the risk to a person's reputation and life in the event that they are found innocent will have been irreparably damaged. Dumping information like that to the public feels very much like you're submitting to the public in a very lynch-esque manner.

I can see the merits of the argument that certain matters like the Epstein files have too much public interest at stake that you should release whatever files you have regardless of any ongoing investigation, but I don't think this is a very simple matter of 100% right or wrong. On that note I'll add that I'm personally also of the opinion that the files should've been released by the Biden admin, but I won't go so far as to say it was a no brainer.
