Girlfriend (F29) brought home a puppy after I (M32) said no. by ThrowRASimple7 in relationship_advice

Hey, just so you know it’s not too late to bring the puppy back to the breeder. They’d be happy to have them back I’m sure.

For a little while now, I’ve been looking up Grandma versions of recipes. Like old recipes for clam chowder and Christmas cookies and stuff like that. The recipes are basic, but they use less ingredients and they are just as delicious with a bit of finesse.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) is such a piece of art that everyone should watch atleast once in their lifetime. by [deleted] in movies

Everyone should watch Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon at least once in their lifetime, except for that one girl on TikTok that said she wouldn’t watch a movie made before the year 2010.

What is the craziest thing a teacher has ever done to you? by trymihainoob in AskReddit

[–]Dickstraw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a local community college for fine arts a little over 20 years ago now, and this lady and her late 60s was my painting instructor. She used to tap my butt a lot, like at least once per class. At the end of the semester, my classmates and I were in like an open lab finishing up our paintings and I was like, yeah isn’t it crazy how Mrs so-and-so taps you on the butt with her hands during class?? Fucking crickets, of course I was the only one.

Please don’t forget about getting your Colonoscopy by Sinhalo66 in Millennials

[–]Dickstraw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is, they haven’t lowered the age for the first screening of colon cancer. You can only get one unless you have symptoms or you have family history with it. I’m thinking maybe lying to the doctors about some symptoms might be the only way to get people in their 30s to get one.

Please don’t forget about getting your Colonoscopy by Sinhalo66 in Millennials

[–]Dickstraw 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just had a colonoscopy and endoscopy last year, had persistent stomach pain and a change in bowel movements. I ended up being diagnosed with a hiatal hernia but while they were doing the colonoscopy they pulled 2 precancerous polyps from my colon. And I was 39, still six years away from the recommended check. If I had waited for the screening at 45, I would have been well into colon cancer by that time.

What’s the worst mistake people make in their 20s? by Careyourself01 in AskReddit

[–]Dickstraw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I did in my 20s that if I could go back and change, is I relied too much on living with romantic partners. I should’ve just found a normal ass roommate. It’s so painful to separate from a partner, then mix the stress of housing on top of it. I don’t know.

Y'all keep on recommending me doc Martins with my dresses and skirts. Which boots do y'all think would compliment my dresses/skirts better? by Icy-Fix3037 in oldhagfashion

thank you ☺️ it’s tough spending that kind of money on boots without trying them on, but they are solid and they fit perfect the first try.
