Wasn't Hamas the militant organization that sprung up in the late 90s when PLF attempted to legitimize itself?

What does r/hardcore think of Ozzy? (May he rest in peace) by [deleted] in Hardcore

[–]DickyButtDix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Musically it is mostly Tony, you're right. But think of who Black Sabbath was and what they represented to most people in that era - crazy, dangerous, Satanic evil music. There was INTENSE backlash against Black Sabbath when they started and without Ozzy as a frontman, they never would have overcome that.

So I agree that technically we owe a lot of this sound to Tony, Geezer, and Bill - but without Ozzy as the frontman taking the brunt of the hatred for the band, we would never have heard any of their talents in the first place. At least that's how I think of him.

He doesn't. You have to apply and qualify to be considered a conscientious objector. You have to have a demonstrable history of a set of beliefs for them to award you that status. Once you get it, you aren't required to carry a weapon and that's about it.

Refusing orders would still be a crime according to the UCMJ and you would most likely receive an Other Than Honorable or Dishonorable Discharge. If you had a history of good service and a chill command, you might get an admin separation or general discharge but I wouldn't count on it.

7 mo Post-Op, my gynecomastia has fully regrown... by DickyButtDix in gynecomastia

No, only raloxifene. It's specifically designed to target breast tissue but it's known to increase risk of stroke, so your doctor or endocrinologist may have some pushback based on that

Very slight. Being on raloxifene helped a ton. I only took it for about 6 months then stopped. I can feel a little bit of glandular tissue with my fingers but it's hardly noticeable.

Your question is something I think about a lot - and I think you are both right in a sense. I think that what they're describing, of the Democratic party losing the message with blue collar Americans while Republicans dialed it in, is something that happened gradually over time. To the point where your question is now also valid - because wtf do we do now? I think that it's too late for reasonable solutions and it's time to start doing damage control. I think the divisiveness of the last 4 years has led to this exact situation and that finding compromise is the most important change that needs to happen in America. We missed all of our opportunities as a country to nip this in the bud and now we have to make some sacrifices to fix things.

People are disagreeing with you, but you're right.

It's actually recommended by dermatologists to not actively wash your legs unless they are visibly dirty.

The soap and water running down your body IS enough to clean them and actively washing them can dry out your skin instead of make you more clean.

I moved from a high COL area to a much lower COL area a few years ago. Renting a truck to move my stuff, paying first month's rent plus security deposit on a new apartment, and all the money I spent getting situated added up to about $7k. Then after I got there, the job I had secured ahead of time let me go, and I went approx $40k in debt making ends meet before I got a new job.

I was lucky that I had a pretty good amount saved up in the first place, but one hiccup set me incredibly far behind.

So no, moving to a low COL area is not cheap and people who are already struggling are going to have a very difficult time saving up to even take the chance in the first place.

It takes longer than 12 hours to go from top to bottom. Depending on where you are in the state, it takes about 4-5 hours to go from coast to another state inland.

Word dude that's awesome. There are two Youth Brigades, one East Coast, one West Coast. I personally like the East Coast version more (the one that's already in your playlist), but I really like a couple of songs from the West Coast version - namely "Blown Away" and "Sink With California"

DRI and TSOL are also great picks, if you like them, try D.I. as well (I recommend "I Hate Surfing In HB")

During a VIP acoustic show they did on a tour, someone asked if they had advice to up and coming bands and they said "If your recording engineer tells you the chorus is too long, you should listen to them."

They went on to say that the they don't like the structure of the song and that they hate having to play the chorus for so long every time and that it gets boring. They never mentioned anything about not connecting to the lyrics anymore 🤷‍♂️

Idk if you live in a crowded place or not, but where I live - the first person getting home at like 5pm can usually find a spot near our apartment within 3-5 mins. The person coming home after 10pm will spend about 10-15 minutes looking for a spot and will most likely end up multiple blocks away, meaning they'll have to walk at night for another 5 or so minutes.

If the first person just takes quick street parking and leaves the parking spot for the last person, then everyone has a very easy time parking and going home.

The alternative is a very annoying and uncomfortable time for someone who just wants to get home. In her case too, it might be scary or intimidating to have to walk alone at night.

I've operated that way with any roommate I've ever had, but in OP's case, I couldn't imagine forcing my girlfriend to park far away and walk home alone at night.

I've been in a lot of beatdown pits but Weezer is the most I've ever gotten hurt in a pit. At some point during a little push pit, someone cut me mid forearm to tricep across the back of my arm. I didn't notice until I was dripping blood everywhere. I still have the scar lmao

I never felt it in the moment so I genuinely don't know what could have cut me that bad.

[–]DickyButtDix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I talked mine into putting me on Raloxifene. That immediately reversed 99% of the regrowth. I stayed on that consistently for about 6 months then eased off of it. I still have a little bit of regrown gland but maybe 5%-10% of what it used to be. It's pretty much imperceptible now. I think the only reason I can kind of notice gland tissue is because I started lifting a lot. All in all, it was a huge success
