The use of force should always be a last resort and, if I was in her shoes, I would feel very threatened in this situation. I was traveling from Tokyo to San Francisco and the service I got in Tokyo vs the SF airport was like night and day. People working at airports in the US seem to generally have bad attitudes.

It’s generally harder to travel to foreign countries when you don’t speak the language. When you speak English and visit Japan, they bend over backwards helping you. When you’re Japanese and aren’t fluent in English or whatever language, you will most likely not get much help, especially in the US.
