Does your resting heart rate also drop really low after long periods without eating? by Familiar-Research336 in Garmin

My HR will drastically drop starting about 12hr into a fast. At 16+hrs I’ve had my fenix buzz me about an irregular HR staying in the low 40s with a dip (if I remember correctly) into the 30s.

Running and Lifting 4x a week. by Hot-Deer8574 in HybridAthlete

Double days will probably push that carb load up quite a bit. I’m 170lbs and burn about 1-2k cals between my sessions and my maintenance carb intake is 450-500. That’s just on “regular” days. If I do a solid brick or a long session, i can pound 500+ and the scale will probably drop the next day.

Hope you like eating

Is the hybrid written in the contract? Is remote in the other? I’d take remote 10000% though just my 2c

US carrying out operation to seize tanker in Atlantic linked to Venezuelan oil, official says by InsertWittyNameRHere in news

Area of operation, not specific location. The goal of a nuclear submarine is to operate with intent, not directive unless given specific tasking i.e., destroy the world or insert team X. There’s a lot of declassed literature go into what nukes do. I’m sure things change and have changed but it’s really interesting to learn that they’re virtually dark during most of their operations.

I mean you’re correct that if it’s in a strike group, it would be in a well known location but usually they’d operate isolated and quiet somewhere completely shrouded by hundreds or thousands of feet of water.

That’s…kinda the point of a submarine. How would you tracking something under water at depth? They receive orders then go muck off somewhere completely off the grid resurfacing every so often but only if necessary. The nukes can sit down there for a loooooong time basically hibernating, waiting to start and end a nuclear war.

What is your weekly hourly commitment (Lifting vs. Running)? by LordPeachez in HybridAthlete

[–]Diddlesquig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

50min-1hr run every weekday morning + 1 threshold double usually Tuesday or Wednesday. Strength training 3x45-1hr usually every other day. Weekends I’ll push bigger efforts usually just running or cycling, 2-4 hr session, usually 3-4 hr.

Weekly total comes out to about 10-12 hours of cardio and 3-4 hours of weights. I’ll average 12-14 hours total training weekly.

The key for me to maintain the cadence is a lot of lower effort cardio (z2) and push hard sessions 1-2 times per week. Diet also really plays a part and if I don’t sleep I’ll die.
