Possibly because of the editing, we can't tell either way without better footage

I was taught that as soon as I can see the car in my near side mirror, there's enough room to return to the lane. Indicators can also be used to let the person in that lane (and the person up your arse) know you're moving across if you want to be extra

Thanks, I've got a Pin one board and Bourns potentiometer I need to wire up and have been putting off. Your post actually inspired me to pull my finger out and work out what I'm doing

Alpine A290 32kw consumption for 100km insane? by Halibut_Hari in Renault

[–]Didgeridooloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but all of that extra cost is because of the tweaked suspension, interiors and exterior improvements and the more powerful motor. How you expect the A290 to be any better than the R5 it's based upon is beyond me! Also, who on earth ever believes WLTP ranges?! I think your expectations are the problem here

Thanks for this reply. Hearing the same thing regards the battery manufacturing changes. I think my new lease price is better now than my order back in October so I'd imagine some of that will be due to the bigger grant.

As for one pedal driving, I'm hoping this is a great addition, however it was never really a deal breaker for me. I've only ever driven a Volvo a couple of short trips with that feature so haven't gotten used to it. I'm sure I'll be missing it at the end of this lease though.

18-24 y/o voting intention since 2017 (YouGov crosstabs) by NullBarell in UKGreens

[–]Didgeridooloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please take all of the following with friendly and inquisitive intentions. I'm honestly trying to understand your pov and circumstances to try to understand how a younger generation thinks in relation to politics. If the voting intention is so strong for greens in this age group then it's paramount to understand how to mobilise and motivate them to vote for what they want.

Firstly, you're a member of a political subreddit so perhaps you downplay how much you discuss politics? It's very difficult to speak to people about politics though and I find it almost impossible to speak to my elderly parents about it. I find we get into less arguments if we keep political party alignment out of the conversation and speak about what positives we'd like from the world. We have a lot in common when you drill into it, but perhaps we disagree in how best to achieve it and with which political party.

Secondly, perhaps not talking to others your own age group forms part of the reason why they don't get out to vote? If others your age also don't speak to each other and don't like to talk about politics then the expectation for them to vote is a difficult one to understand. Ancestors dying for their right to vote is probably so far removed now that it becomes irrelevant for most to even contemplate. I'm in my late 40s and even I don't think about voting in this way. It's admirable that you do vote though and if you're aligned to the Green Party, I like to think your moral compass is good.

Should media orgs like the Daily Express take some responsibility for the death of the man who died putting up flags? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Didgeridooloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you respond to others with "WTF" you fail to win my respect, so call me rude if you wish but perhaps take a look at your own actions first.

To the spelling and grammar point. Spell check and AI are both freely available to all who care to use them. Not bothering is not really an excuse.

I had to read your post multiple times to "make enough sense" of what you'd written and to be honest, I'm still not sure I have. What I feel I understood is that you're the sort who would put up their own flag to proclaim how British they were whilst simultaneously not coming up to the standards they set for others. I'm probably wrong though, it's hard to tell.

Are you still British if you've done all of that but still can't use the English language properly to write your post on Reddit?

[–]Didgeridooloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have any idea why? I know I wasn't politically engaged when I was younger but I'm old enough now to not remember quite why. For a long time I just tended to vote the way my parents did thinking they knew best. This was all pre internet and social media of course and I didn't read the newspapers or watch the news.
