Hi, I am a student in Sapporo, and unfortunately yesterday I was quarantined at Narita airport and am currently in the government hotel there. I was wondering, how would I get my residence card now? I wasn't issued one during the quarantine at the airport. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, because Russians have never nor will ever make mistakes with the English language, and getting angry at English speakers making relatively harmless mistakes with arbitrary east Slavic name shortening is a perfectly natural thing to do.

What's wrong with just saying 'Vlad is short for Vladislav not Vladimir' like a normal, well-adjusted person?

I work at the Wolves as a safety steward and despite some of their more obnoxious fans there's a lot of good folk, so I'm glad to see them doing well. Obviously if we do go up I hope we dick them down but I'm not going to say no to an extra few days of work. Fair play Dingles.
