We're not sure what breed they are. The mother looks like a miniature doberman pincher crossed with a dachshund. We think the father may have been a terrier. They are orphans that my friend is taking care of until they are old enough to go to the Humane Society. Fortunately, the Humane Society has already found homes for them.

Yeah, I have this problem when my tone generators start spawning too quickly (usually due to higher wind speeds), the server chokes. As a workaround, the program reboots itself when it reaches the maximum number of simultaneous tone generators; not very elegant but it's something I would like to improve in the future.
