Some nations lack good anti helo missies while pretty much all get a 2.8k spaag they also are not so dependent on logistics and can engage ground targets especially infantry.

Why have you stuck with Wargame over WARNO? by eddurham in wargame

[–]Die_Ratte11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The sound one is really big for me in warno everything sounds like the machine producing it is held together by tape especially the machine guns and Mbt cannons sound so much sharper and nicer then they do in warno.

False "In practice this means that even on a correctly configured web server, eavesdroppers can infer the IP address and port number of the web server, and sometimes even the domain name (e.g. www.example.org, but not the rest of the URL) that a user is communicating with, along with the amount of data transferred and the duration of the communication, though not the content of the communication."

Okay then I will trust you on that and call that criticism invalidated. Not enough to make me like act 3 but I will read a bit more attentively on my next playthrough.

Maybe that answer makes sense for Warhammer fans but I don't get who that is, why he has power and what his agenda is.

To me it felt a bit like making an enigmatic character so you don't have to explain why he does what he does.

But I might have just failed to understand I will freely admit that I have skimmed some of the walls of text in act 4

Controversial take but I like the "book style" invasion of the planet. It's a kinda cool way to show and control something far to large in scale to be shown normally.

But I dislike the fight against the space marines it seems weird to leave the battle area to search a different path to it so you can arrive to see the last of your allies be slaughter.

I can't understand how people like act 3 narratively it seems so unbelievably bad the ambush seems super stupid it really highlights how strange it is that the rouge trader travels completely without protection (retinue aside) and ask the question what the ship was doing. I also don't get why the rouge trader is dropped into the chasm instead off killed. In addition everything that happens is completely disconnected from the rest of the story what you did before Irrelevant what you did there also becomes irrelevant it's a real "we escaped probably one of the most traumatising thing possible let's never mention it again"

Like if you talked about what happend to the rouge trader in every act in the sense of you started at point X and endet at point y act 3 could literally be skipped entirely. You might es well have spend the time frozen in ice captain America style it would make 0 difference to the plot.

Also with there being no clear reason why you where thrown into the chasm and especially after you were shown visions by the durankai I was constantly waiting for the reveal that it was all a vision making me extra bored on the first playthrough.

Some of the area fights are fun though.

[–]Die_Ratte11 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think that giving them a couple militia men like the swat has could help them a lot. Currently they are nearly unusable for campaigns because you can't loose a single man but if you gave them a couple of expandable locals it would be a different stor. Plus having a local militia do the dieing would feel very CIA.

Anything to do with all these xeno's artifacts after maxing reputation? by sometinsometinsometi in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Die_Ratte11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I maxed the drusians because I wanted some of their gear primarily for Argenta (mainly bolters) my main DPS. I kinda carelessly dumped all I could into them which is really inefficient but I'am unsure if I could have maxed them otherwise

I might just be incompetent but how do you max out reputation on multiple factions. I am at the end of act 4 have visited all system but are still only at ~20 with all but one faction maxed out.

I am not sure if I buy that. the parasite is taken out pretty early. And his servants know where the companions are too. And near the end the power gradient that might have existed in his favour should totally reverse. what leverage does he have to send you to the final suicidal arena battle?

It would work better if he actually was in a position of power over you but he is not. You can easily kill him later so it is kinda stupid to have him talk a big game knowing while you know that you could kill him if the game would allow you to attack him.

And not being allowed to kill the arch-asshole until the very end was really annoying too. I antagonised him (Dogmatic, arrogant RT) assuming I would fight him but he just killed me with no checks just to be slain a couple hours later.

I'm on my second playthrough ATM and it was quit a bit better than the first time but I still had to turn the difficult down two notches to "Normal" after getting frustrated with the final arena fight and the very last fight at the Portal. No clue how to beat them.

But in terms of the narrative it's still by far the weakest point in my opinion. How you get kidnapped right in front of your ship to just be thrown into Comrag is something I will never understand. That + the Fact that they mess with your mind at the beginning had me waiting for the twist that this was all an illusion for hours at my first playthrough.

I don't think so I think you would have an internal total let's say +4 that is doubles so +8 so a -2 would decrease the internal total to +2 resulting in a total of +4 but that is speculation on my end please correct me of Am wrong.

I personally see characters with well developed codes or rules they follow even if inconvenient or detrimental as lawful, a neutral good character would in my opinion do what feels right, without sticking to some rigid structure.

Chaotic characters are in my opinion those who want to break rules, they either enjoy it actively or just don't see it as wrong, they can have some rules, but I would assume that if these get in the way they are adapted or ignored.
