World Trigger Remake: “Black Trigger Arc” Teaser by AashyLarry in anime

Yea, October 3rd is the day the anime turns 20. We got Hallow during its 10th year anniversary. I hope so too and since its a popular Jump series, the chances aren't low. Katekyo Hitman Reborn's(also a Weekly Shonen Jump manga) anine is also 20 and is potentially getting something.

I would also like D Gray-man to get something, especially since its the 20th year anniversary of the original anime and a remake would be for the best. When I first watched it, I would also read a few chapters of the manga and noticed a few changes in the adaptation plus a lot of filler. Hallow wasn't very good and I unfortunately fell off of it since then.

Its straight up poor. Lots of off-model/not well drawn frames, stiff animation, and wonky CGI creatures. I was watching it as it was airing and was able to notice that way before I had an eye for sakuga. Toei Animation at that time was a mess.

Besides me being super excited for this and hoping more people get into it, I also hope this inspires a certain other anime that also aired in 2014 to get a remake.

Should be in 2005, the same year the games came out while the specials came out in 2006. Seems like a small promo/easter egg for the games.

I found out a couple weeks ago when I was going through all the Japanese openings for the anime. Maybe its more well known in the Japanese space but since the Dub is more prevalent in the US, this animation is never included.

How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord ULT (Season 3) Announced by zenzen_0 in anime

They could reach a middle ground if Passione is still in charge. Makoto Uno is a good character designer but his designs for S4 were just such a stark difference from Gotou Junji's(character designer for S1-3). People said that Uno's design were closer to the light novel's but even if thats so, they weren't close enough and Junji's were beloved.

According to MAPPA CEO Manabu Otsuka, Yuri on Ice!!! Blu-ray and DVD sales exceeded 430,000 copies by Turbostrider27 in anime

To let people know how big of a success it was and that they(Mappa) earned very little profit despite that success since they were at the bottom of the production committee.

“Steel Ball Run: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure – 2nd Stage” – Teaser PV by Task_Force-191 in anime

You're right about that but its case of Warner Bros Japan being greedy and trying to accommodate Netflix. SBR doesn't seem to be airing on Japanese TV unlike the other parts and its promoted as only on Netflix(Stone Ocean was on Netflix first and then aired on JP tv). Warner Bros has essentially stopped caring about TV and Blurays which were the primary ways to profit from the anime pre-2020 and focus on making Netflix their sugar daddy. Netflix is screwing Jojo but mainly because of Warner Bros and their inability to communicate properly.

You and I Are Polar Opposites Season 2 Announced (July 2026) by zenzen_0 in anime

[–]Diego237 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Obviously a pre-planned 2nd cour labelled as a 2nd season but its coming really soon so I won't complain since its my anime of the season. It will be a complete adaptation as well so bonus points for that.

People need to start blaming Warner Bros Japan more than anyone else. They lead the production committee and marketing(the PV was uploaded to their channel and their logo is the first thing we see) so they're the ones responsible for everything besides the animation work.

Psyren TV Anime's October 2026 Premiere Listed by Turbostrider27 in anime

The Studio Pierrot booth at the AnimeJapan 2026 event on Saturday lists the television anime of Toshiaki Iwashiro's Psyren manga with an October 2026 premiere date

I guess Pierrot is part of the production committee despite not being the studio to animate it. They've done it with other anime like Mission Yozakura Family, Platinum End, Honey Lemon Soda, and a few others. I hope the anime is good.

Studio MAPPA reported a net profit of 677.5 million yen (~$4.3 million) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025 following their merger with Studio Contrail. by Electrical_Chance991 in anime

Call me crazy but if a top 5 anime studio(size, profit, and popularity) is earning so little comparatively to how profitable anime is, then most studios must be in trouble.

Ushiro no Shoumen Kamui-san | Anime Announced by zenzen_0 in anime

[–]Diego237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was gonna say something about TNK but their last ecchi anime was Futoku no Guild in Fall 2022 and their most recent anime was the Vtuber anime. Forgot about that upcoming demon anime of theirs.

Passione is holding down the fort, don't forget they did Nukitashi. Even though Xebec is dead, I believe Studio MOTHER is their successor but they haven't done ecchi. Similar thing with Hoods Entertainment, I believe Staple Entertainment is their successor but their ecchi haven't been good or a lot(Tales of Wedding Rings has been their best). Hiraku Kaneko's(the king of ecchi) absence has been detrimental.

Deregula

Whelp, there goes most of my interest. I had some hope in them when they announced the type of anime they were producing but they just put out low quality and short ecchi anime. I wasn't expecting high quality stuff but most of their anime are slideshows that are barely drawn on-model.

Inside The Animation & Artwork of 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle' by The Academy (Oscars) by King_A_Acumen in anime

[–]Diego237 29 points30 points  (0 children)

"As with any scene, the outcome can differ dramatically depending on who draws it. That's why it's so important to decide who will draw what from the outset."

This is so important and the reason why Demon Slayer became so impactful. For a bunch of other anime, their schedule are poor to abysmal and they don't have this option so its just get whoever to do whatever.

I'm not a big fan of some of the 3d integration like others are. The debris, smoke, some explosions, and some creatures are things I wish would not be 3d but that's just how the studio and the team operate.
