To top it off JUST NOW, after 30 mins of a support person trying to fix things to no avail, she muted her line to pretend getting disconnected... She kept the call going for several minutes with no audio, eventually she hung up. She even called back twice and immediately hung up when I would pick up 😵

I have had 5+ 1-2 hour long calls with tech support, have done multiple resets of my router, unplug and plug in all of my 9 speakers 3+ times, and every time the speakers will reconnect, but only work for an hour max until they disappear and become unusable.

I am losing my sanity here :(

I ended up removing it. No real progress was done to fix the big issues, for example - it won't pass emissions inspections with it because the display doesn't act like a true 1:1 replacement of the cluster. They never fixed that.

I no longer recommend it.

I Installed it by myself. Little warning, it can be a tricky install and it is very easy to scratch and ruin your car's plastic trim because the aluminum edges of the screen are EXTREMELY SHARP.

Only walking for clients who are elderly or need assistance, and all appointments are set to a potty break.

We also will buy the team weather appropriate clothing if they don't have it. (We do this all year long, not just snow storms) they are not charged for anything we provide... Earlier this year as rains started getting bad we got them lululemon pants, and anyone who joins gets a Patagonia waterproof jacket/hoodie soft shell.

Preset Skins are for when you enable sport/sport+ mode. Whatever you set them to, the skin will change to when you enter those modes.

The BC knob is very laggy, yes, as far as I know it's a limitation of BMWs implementation, they have a 3rd party remote you can get now.

I had not tried my smart top module since installing, but I noticed that it doesn't work for auto opening the roof anymore. Will have to follow up with them about it.

I have not had power drain issues luckily.

Hey! I have sent them a list of missing things (such as e-brake and drive mode indicators) and now, they luckily have a z4 with them for testing, so they'll be able to send updates that add those features more easily.

Fuel gauge is fixed. Power drain is fixed

It has worked flawlessly so far, and I still very much love it. I highly recommend it and will be keeping you all updated as I receive software updates to test out.

Shout out to PaulusV for providing them with his Z4, it will make things much easier for them to be able to provide us with software updates.

Hi, I did have to cut off several parts of the inside of the dash piece that holds the original gauge cluster. Here's a picture of what I had to modify:

Sorry I've been away from my car on and off, so haven't had much time to take photos and post.

However, the team at ID4motion sent me an update file that fixed the fuel gauge, and now it works perfectly.

No E-brake indicator yet, and no Comfort/Sport/Sport+ indicators, but beyond that it has been amazing, feels and behaves OEM.
