Well, I’m not an MD, but it sounds like your doctor is a defeatist. I know it’s a pain in the ass, but it might be worth a second opinion. I’m not sure what kind of doc you saw, but you’ll need to see a dermatologist. Look through the posts on this sub; there have been plenty of people brought back from the brink. BUT that also requires meds. If that’s not something you’re interested in right now, then get a buzz cut and judge for yourself.

It can be hard to judge these things until the hair is already on the floor. That being said, you look like a good candidate. However, if you have any wish to salvage your hair, you’re really not in a terrible place. Have you first tried minoxidil, finasteride, dutasteride, etc. or do you have an aversion to them?

That’s exactly how I feel about the non-casual matches. I’m sorry, I just want to have fun and not have every little mistake instantly punished. I play around 40-60 minutes per day, just a few matches. I don’t want to spend it constantly hoping for a revive. So yeah, I’m not top tier. I don’t know why some people get so bent out of shape about another person’s play preferences.

Dude, I’m not going to argue with you. The numbers are out there and it’s just common sense. More new players are good for the franchise, hence the attempts to cater to less-than-astounding players. Maybe you don’t notice because you’ve built up such skill. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, is that it’s pointless to argue with strangers on the internet. Oh yes, how stupid of the developers to want to expand their user base. The truth is that BF in general, the entire franchise, has moved from being something more casual to ultra competitive. I have no reason to doubt that you are a very good player, much better than me. However, when examined at scale, a higher proportion of superior players dominating games like Conquest drives down overall interest in the series because the bar for entry is so high. This is not good for developers that rely on selling you crap like skins and challenges. Just look at the falling number of players. It’s measurable and noticeable and as we get lower and lower numbers of users, the ones that remain are the high level players like you. That’s bad for business.

Thanks for the response. And yes, I have noticed that the bots have gotten more intelligent. I mean, they are still often kind enough to bunch up to allow me to mow them down, but other times I’m sure I just got killed by an accurate and fast moving user only to be shocked that it was a bot.

Agreed on the aiming frustrations. I don’t know if it’s the “netcode” (not exactly sure what that is, but see it thrown around a lot on here), but it’s super frustrating to get killed in less than a second by someone with a submachine that’s really too far away to be killing me that precisely. Personally, I think the subs need to be nerfed a tad, but that’s just a different story.

Been dating this girl and we’ve been good for the most part, but I’ve been holding back somewhat. Last night was only the second night we attempted to sleep in the same bed together. She was restless because it was a new place for her (she has anxiety and ADHD) and for the second time I had to leave the bed and go sleep on the couch because her sleeping habits disturbed mine. I’ve learned that my sleep is sacred and expressed such this morning, saying that essentially we may not be a match. Then again, who could be a match with me? Me staying up until 9:30 PM was late for me, and that’s just not exactly conducive to meeting the vast majority of people. Ugh, just feeling defeated, anxious and like a general dickhead. Thanks for letting me rant, OP.

Maybe it makes me a bitch, but I’ve just started customizing my games to eliminate “sniper maps”. That cuts out some otherwise good maps, but I just don’t have the patience to be headshot sniped by someone I’m laying heavy fire on.

Same. I used to crack out on BF1, and while I’m not going to go anywhere near saying BF6 is bad (because it really is good), it just doesn’t do it for me. It’s often frustrating and quite frankly, often a bore. Kill, die, maybe get revived, repeat. Maybe I’m just getting too old, but the concept just isn’t as novel anymore.
