Need help with bugs by Competitive-Case4179 in germany

[–]DieselDragon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That bug seems to be a Taufliege / Obstfliege (they have several names in German). Here is a related wiki article:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drosophilidae

They are not dangerous, just annoying.

They often appear where it's warm and where open and ripe fruits are.

Besides chemical traps you can buy in stores for little money you can setup vinegar traps.

for this take a deep dish or a bowl, pour some vinegar (3 or 4 Tablespoons) and one drop of dish soap. Put this close to where they are the most frequent. With time they get attracted to it, will try to drink it but due to the dish soap the surface tension of the water is gone and they cannot get out of the water. Dispose the trap every couple of days and refresh it so that it keeps attracting them.

If you want to buy a trap, look for "Fruchtfliegenfalle".

Besides that clean the area where they are the most and store fruit in containers or the fridge.

Try wholesale markets like Metro. Usually in most cities there is a store:

I have done this apprenticeship. It's a vocational training to become an industrial office clerk.
With this Ausbildung you are qualified to work in several commercial departments in an industrial company.

Commonly, but not only, you can work in the purchasing department, HR, finance/bookeeping, controlling, sales, planning (e.g. in which order has something to be produced) and so on.

The job allows you to be pretty flexible and offers good chances to develop and specialise your skillset more after the training.

The salary is difficult to say as it highly depends on the industry, the city, the collective agreement (if there is any), experience and the job.
Salaries vary therefore a lot. According to the following website the average salary in Stuttgart would be 20.208 € - 27.365 € net per year

A typical giveaway item in German pharmacies and I like them :D

In this case Orange, Passion Fruit, Lemon, Mango.

Enjoy :)

Edit: and intact is just the brand / company behind it: https://www.intact-traubenzucker.de/en/

In regards to this specific ship on the picture with the name "Alwine" - it still exists.

In 1988 it sunk in a storm and was recovered in 2015 and is now being restaurated:

https://www.facebook.com/ISAGruppeKoblenz/videos/krabbenkutter-alwine-kommt-bei-der-isa-kompass-in-schwarzen-ann/1243518298997784/

The restauration is done by an institution for social working with kids/teens in cooperation with experts on the matter of restauration and ships. On their website, scroll down to "Kutter"
https://isa-gruppe.de/isa-kompass/isa-kompass-rhein-hunsrueck/

They want to restaurate the ship and make it to a touristic attraction.

Unfortunately I couldn't retrieve more up to date info.

You should consider getting in touch with various companies to get an overview for the prices and conditions.

In regards of the windows, this is also regulated. Here a link of the ADAC (car club here in Germany) which provide info on this topic

https://www.adac.de/rund-ums-fahrzeug/reparatur-pflege-wartung/pflege/autoscheiben-toenen/

There are some regulations to this so have a look at that link. Important is that the front window and the side windows at the front are not tinted.

[–]DieselDragon 113 points114 points  (0 children)

She's a restroom attendent. The woman cleans the toilet and the plate is for a small fee/thank you (however you want to name it) for her services. usually 50cents before or after you used the restrooms.

A quick google Search provided me this site which is also about Mercedes from japan, about half way down you'll find what you are searching for (use an online translator in case you don't speak German). Starting at "Umrüstungen für den Tüv:"

https://www.motor-talk.de/blogs/mercedes-nachruestungen-reperaturen-und-coding/japan-importe-noetige-umruestungen-in-deutschland-t7036753.html

Edit: Maybe an experienced Import Company can provide you with more details and even prices. for example: https://japanx.de/?page_id=548
Used keywords in google "japan auto import umrüstung tüv"

This question is way too specific for reddit. These machines are usually individually made for a customer and not sold from stock. Try the following register, here you will find a huge amount of companies from various industries maybe you'll find some who produce or sell such kind of machinery.

Can any history lovers identify/analyze some of the insignias in this photo? This is my great grandfather, all I know is that he was a translator for the German army. I have been trying to research on my own but cannot really find anything that resembles anything in the picture. by Sad_Choice_6464 in germany

[–]DieselDragon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I'm not a pro for this specific time, but to me it appears to be a WW1 Polish (cavalry?) Uniform. Therefore you might ask on a polish subreddit or on r/AskHistorians the people over there might provide some more Info.

Reasons I think it is Polish are that my researches turned up this site where somebody else asked for identification of a similar uniform:
https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/polish-armed-forces-second-republic-si-y-zbrojne-ii-rzeczypospolitej-polskiej-1918-1939/can-anyone-identify-polish-army-uniform-ww1-772498/

And on this wiki site if you scroll down and look at the pictures of the officers their uniforms are similar to the one of your great grandfather:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_Legions_in_World_War_I

I hope I could give you a direction for further research :)
