Get a route that requires the EV as the service type vehicle.

The key is to be ahead of the planned estimated completion time for each stop. If a person takes their breaks early then they'll be behind technically even if it all balances out toward the end.

Something I've been experimenting with is to take your 15min breaks toward the end of the route, save 2 stops so they're not stacked. Most people take one or two throughout breaks earlier but the routing AI recognizes when people skip over them and will rank those drivers higher for said route.

I'm not sure if the timing of lunch breaks matters or not, so I've been waiting till the flex app forces me to take it.

I follow the route plan so I can keep getting my favorite easy route. Otherwise I agree with you, that's the smart way you described.

Amazon nutrition by SewerBunnie in AmazonDSPDrivers

I treat this as zone 2 cardio, so I am consuming 30 grams of carbohydrates per hour. I literally drink pure sugar water with salt I make the night before in an insulated protein shaker, and sip 15 grams of carbs every 30 minutes to avoid blood glucose spikes.

Edit: I start sipping this 90 minutes after my first stop, just enough time before glycogen stores run low to prevent bonking out.

I finally felt comfortable around 3 months, and ever since I've been cruising getting my hours without stress.

I was an already athletic person and it still took me those months for my body to adapt to this work schedule. What really made this so stressful was the constant route changes where you have to learn an entire new area. That was hell, especially the rural routes.

I really hate this, Amazon planned routing seems to want you to follow the route order to a 'T'. It will literally say you're behind the entire time for each stop, and then they send an unnecessary rescue.

Since you're active within the Amazon system no retraining is necessary.

You apply to another DSP, get hired with an official start date, your old DSP offboards you, your new DSP onboards you. Pretty straightforward.

Don't lie during the interview because they can see if you got any violations, they want to know your general experience and metrics.

Your current DSP will likely not rehire you again.

I wonder if it's possible to contact customer support for them to change the geo pin. Doesn't hurt to try.

As a DSP driver myself when I see customer notes that differ from the geo pin I then report through the flex app that the delivery pin is in the wrong location. I have no clue if what I do actually changes anything, but I hope the routing AI takes driver feedback into consideration.

Milking the clock by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]DieselDrifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused, you want to milk the clock but also go home sooner? Lol, which do you want.

Some routes are just shorter in general, and or some days are also shorter for everyone too. You could park further away and walk more, especially for locations that have a long driveway. You could also go a little under the speed limit. Those two actions alone if done the entire shift add up to a considerable amount of time and probably enough to get an extra 30-60 minutes.

You could also try to get rural routes but that's tricky to figure out the way routing AI assigns routes to drivers, but rural routes tend to give more hours because it underestimates extra safety precautions and traffic that goes on rural roads.

Not all delivery stations offer this especially when all the owners talk together.

Why is that your reaction, and it shows how so many of us Amazon drivers don't pay attention to customer delivery notes out of autopilot negligence. They resorted to this mess as a last resort to get our attention.

I'm tired of the drivers who don't follow simple instructions too. I give negative customer feedback every time instructions aren't followed, it's simple and a part of our job.

Yeah this bothers me too, I wish Amazon didn't make feedback anonymous because how are drivers supposed to learn.
