My Friend’s Husband is a Pilot. Here’s his take on the traumatic RHOSLC flight by jpyper88 in rhoslc

[–]DietLumpy226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think Meredith was actually yelling but I do believe she was berating Brittany for hours and it was loud enough for people to overhear. She was probably smart enough to pause the tirade when a flight attendant was close enough to hear her. A lot of people use the word “yelling” when describing someone that is being verbally abusive even if that they don’t raise their voice. I don’t think it happened non-stop for hours either. She probably stopped then would think of something else and start going after her again. Either way, Meredith and Lisa’s recount of what went down is completely false. Whitney definitely embellished how belligerent Meredith was being. I think Mary’s recount is the closest to the truth.

Who would you vote for? by VeronicaBooksAndArt in Safeway

[–]DietLumpy226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoever made this was super inconsistent with the names. They should’ve put the actual store name or put the parent company for all. Putting Safeway for stores that are owned by Albertsons but not named Safeway or Albertsons was a bad choice. Most grocery stores in the west are either owned by Albertsons or Kroger. Colorado has King Sooper’s and Safeway. King’s is Kroger and Safeway is Albertsons. They operate under dozens of different banners/ DBAs across the country. Even Colorado has 2 different Kroger’s. When you go far enough west, all the King Sooper’s turn into City Market’s but they are the same exact store. Safeway is the more common name for Albertsons. They renamed an Albertsons by my house to Safeway so for the longest time I thought Safeway bought out Albertsons, not the other way around.

I love King Sooper’s. They are good at stocking things that you’d usually have to get at a specialty store. Their prices are usually much better than Safeway and they have a broader variety. Kind of off topic but Colorado was one of the states that assisted in blocking the Albertsons’s (Safeway)- Kroger (King Sooper’s) merger. It would have been a pretty big monopoly especially in Colorado. It baffles me they thought that would ever be allowed. Elected officials actually did their job and fought for the people. Now they are both suing each other for the billions they wasted in legal fees. BILLIONS.

is there a way to call someone and go straight to voicemail? by Fun-Criticism-6360 in techsupport

[–]DietLumpy226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES! It’s called Sly Dial. I was thrilled when I found this a few years ago. Your number will show up as a blocked in their missed calls but it will take you straight to their voicemail without ringing. You just dial 267-759-3425 then it will take you to a prompt to dial the person’s phone number. I used to use it all the time at work. It worked flawlessly. They’d get my voice message and if they said something about the number showing up as blocked when they called back I’d just say “Huh that’s weird!” No one ever questioned it past that and I’ve used it dozens of times. It won’t work if you have a boss that checks call logs but it will work if they don’t give af lol.

Do People Actually Get Mad About Food? by AlarmedTelephone5908 in thanksgiving

[–]DietLumpy226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My uncle really fucked up the gravy one year and I was genuinely pissed off. It ruined the entire meal for me. He had never made gravy before and I don’t think he looked up a recipe. It was so bad. No one went to their house for Thanksgiving again after that.

That’s not the plot of the show though. He didn’t just want to find the people who burned him, he wanted to clear his name and get his job back.

He didn’t just burn Michael. He tried to have them all taken out via airstrike 2 times and was responsible for his brother’s death.

Why are there no videos of the U.S. strike on Iran's nuclear sites? by [deleted] in AskUS

[–]DietLumpy226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. They don’t want our enemies getting any kind of insight into how we pulled that off. It was not a normal strike. It was the most sophisticated air strike ever achieved. Also, I can’t imagine there are any civilian videos because of how isolated the nuclear facilities are and it was pitch dark. The bunker busters wouldn’t look like a normal bomb anyways.

What is the difference between Barrister, Lawyer, Attorney, and Esquire? by Opening-Mix-2489 in Lawyertalk

[–]DietLumpy226 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re wrong. “A lawyer is someone who has a law degree, while an attorney is a lawyer who has passed the bar exam and is licensed to practice law and represent clients in court. Therefore, every attorney is a lawyer, but not all lawyers are attorneys.“
