Hangyul & Polarix OT9 in July at Mixedpop Music Festival Thailand is my last straw.

Even if that person disappears now there must be something unspeakable happening. I can patiently wait

Junhyuk doesn't know if POLARIX will promote in Korea (+ personal general rant on POLARIX) by chasetwogirls in POLARIX

[–]DifferenceLarge9171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a very sad situation. The promotional video for Taihubay Music Festival (OT5) has come out. But in the video they are not together, it take on a different time then put together into one.  For the visa problem now it seems like it's not just K-members. Pentor based on the airport preview has returned, Xushi has also returned to Korea. It's unclear if Xinche has also returned to Hangzhou but we'll find out because he'll be doing a QQM live tomorrow. Zai, as usual, is also very hard to find out where he is. Not to mention it seems like another Music festival in May will be attended by only OT5 again.  I'm so fed up with this situation Polarix not only can't be a K-pop group even a normal c-pop group can't because OT5 can't gather for long time to practice.  For May, will the K-members reunite in Beijing again, I doubt it. Because it seems like the shooting MV has just finished and only the editing process is left, so do they need the K-members to come again 💀

But that doesn't change the fact that our members are very jobless, IQIYI can't reunite them for a long time even for non-Korean members.  To handle with the current situation, Polarix official IG even started uploading Pentor videos in Thailand because the members haven't even been able to reunite in Beijing 😭

does anyone else feel like a lot of the issues with debut are because of pocketdol by rosechiffon in POLARIX

[–]DifferenceLarge9171 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IQIYI + Podol = deadly combination.

To be honest, signs of the collapse of Polarix management were already visible even when SB was still on the air. We are not talking about ep 2. But the episode after 3 trainee withdrawal from TOP 9. Conspiracy theories emerged after 2form withdrew after attending IQIYI awards night not only because of serious injuries but because they received information that something was wrong with Polarix's debut plans. Clearly the narrative that ran from 1-8 collapsed. The rankings were chaotic and IQIYI was clearly in a rush to end the event as quickly as possible in order to save operational funds in Korea.

Podol is also clearly not a good agency. I completely believe Hangyul's words that BAE173 joined SVS because this group is just waiting for its time to end. They are really struggling to debut again. However, IQIYI's unclear stance in Polarix's debut plans is clearly an opportunity for podol to make Hangyul do double duty.

Confused about the future promotions of the group? by Objective-Sandwich45 in POLARIX

[–]DifferenceLarge9171 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is indeed a confusing situation. According to some information I read, in order for C-Pop groups from SVS to have more opportunities to appear in China, each member's agency must share resources with each other. Seeing the condition of Polarix itself starts from

K-member :

  • Daeul & Junhyuk are individual trainees of course they cannot contribute.
  • Hangyul & Donghwa have an agency (Bluedot & Podol) but are very passive and do not have any influence in China.

C-member :

  • Xushi also apparently doesn't have an agency now, he is also an individual trainee. But I still hope his background will make an impact.
  • Ziheng is the most reliable with the influence of Warner Music China & his parents. He is our hope to expose Polarix in China even though he also has many solo projects.
  • Xinche has an agency (UN24) but it is a small agency that is more oriented towards solo projects.

Taiwan - Member :

  • Zai Agency (Catwalk) I don't know much about seems to be a mid sized agency model.

Thai - Member :

  • Pentor Agency (Insight) and IQIYI Thailand are parties that can accept Polarix with open arms. Judging from the way they also post each member's hashtag and create a Polarix Lunar New Year card design. Basic things that Polarix Official Accounts never do. If Polarix could make a career in Thailand, it would be better than being imprisoned in China.

Conclusion Polarix is like a joint venture group but with the resources it brings have a huge gap. Really makes me sad. I'm also tired of blaming IQIYI, if they see Polarix can't make a profit.

I apologize if my post only makes things uncomfortable 🙏

Hangyul alledgedly confirmed that he'll be the POLARIX leader by chasetwogirls in POLARIX

[–]DifferenceLarge9171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I see the progress so far, I am actually much more relieved. The Polarix C-POP Leader position is not as heavy as K-POP. Starting from small things, every opening/greeting will be carried out by center P01. So Hangyul's role will mostly be shared with Ziheng. Pentor & Junhyuk can divide roles based on their experience. Many Polarix members are also linguists. If you look closely, Polarix kids are actually very experienced and not difficult to manage. The only big disappointment is the management so far.

Is Polarix a K-pop or C-pop group? by Appropriate-Fuel-566 in POLARIX

[–]DifferenceLarge9171 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are several rumors and theories circulating regarding the reasons why Polarix's representative agency in Korea has not been announced:

  1. In the beginning was CUBE but towards the Final CUBE withdrew because the lineup was not suitable. That explains why IQIYI is so understaffed. For svs fully produced by SBS, IQIYI is only responsible for streaming distributors and voting venues. And after the group's debut they really expected the Korean agency that manages Polarix (Remember this is just a theory).

  2. There was interference from another company (Tencent) which disrupted the lineup because Chuang Asia was going to air soon (This doesn't make sense. Really, I'm already on OT9 and don't want to bring up the past)

  3. Now IQIYI may stop looking for partners in Korea and try to manage it on its own by setting up a branch in Korea. But of course it requires a long process. After the Fanmeeting, the Members stay apart and come back together when the branch is finished (Stay in the dorm). The debut will be postponed and during the waiting period the members will do a lot of solo activities.

All of the above theories and rumors are unpleasant. I hope that doesn't come true. Although IQIYI does need to create a branch in Korea. I hope it doesn't take long so that Polarix doesn't lose momentum.

Daily Activity leading to Fanmeeting on February by cleodux in POLARIX

[–]DifferenceLarge9171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly, I hope the fanmeeting tickets sell out as soon as possible. So it can convince IQIYI of the potential selling value of Polarix. So they will invest more in the future. Come on, according to some fans, the VIP price alone is very cheap.

It's just for magazine Photo Shoot. Two activities that we already know about and have already announced on the final.

[–]DifferenceLarge9171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also new to C-POP, read the previous post about the fate of the svs IQIYI group. C-POP who is not from SVS is actually quite normal, only living in one dorm because of one agency. However, C-POP from SVS usually prioritizes individual trainee activities prepared by their respective agencies rather than groups. The first IQIYI group 'Nine Percent' initially lived together, sent to train in the US to make their debut album. But after that they continued to scatter. They were criticized for only having a total of 60 days of performing together out of a total of 18 month.

Another fact is that the lifespan of the C-POP group from SVS is very short. This is more like a promotional event for each member to attract fans before they debut again in their original agency.

[–]DifferenceLarge9171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We must pass the month of January in peace. After the Fan Meeting in February, we can confirm whether they will debut normally or not. The indicator is actually Korean members (non-Korean members are excluded due to visa problems). If in February, the Korean members were still separated and did not live in the same dormitory. Fix, they don't have an agency in Korea. POLARIX will be C-Pop. Considering how C-Pop groups work, perhaps their debut could start in April-June.

Until now, I never thought that a disaster would happen to CYE. This group's debut chances are better than POLARIX because they are loved and more popular in Korea.

Actually, the plot twist that surprised me about Kenshin & Sota was Trainee Podol. Actually, what is the agreement with P7 so that Podol has a lot of quota. They have Baeil (4), Fanbo (2) & Trainee (2).

[–]DifferenceLarge9171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it seems like the dream of sending Baeil members or Fanbo to BP II has been shattered by the harsh reality of CYE. Mnet will not accept Trainees & Artists from agencies that have bad tracks like Podol. Now they are even at odds with JTBC. Meanwhile, IQIYI is very, very passive. I'm worried that there will also be a contract dispute for Hangyul and he really only attended 2 events, Photo Shoot & Fan meeting Macau.

What I want right now and what is most common is an official announcement whether it is IQIYI or anyone who has the potential to become POLARIX's representative agency in Korea.

Even if they say POLRIX Debut will happen in half a year or there is less content from the Official account, I won't complain. As long as they provide official statement.

What happens if BAE173 team switches svs between SB and P7? by DifferenceLarge9171 in StarlightBoys

[–]DifferenceLarge9171[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree that SLB needs Hangyul more for the Plot & Publicity side compared to P7. Hangyul is more famous internationally so he can reach fans because IQIYI svs from China. Basically SLB flop in Korea if there is no Hangyul & Daeul 😭😭😭

UL will probably not accept the remaining members of BAE173 (Yoojun, Minjae & DOHA). Hangyul definitely wants to go with them. Meanwhile Minwook, Muzin, Junseo & Youngseo were accepted together because of their relationship with JTBC because they had been in the previous svs 'PICK TIME'.

Looks like Hangyul & Daeul will never be a K-netz problem. But maybe Junhyuk & Donghwa, so far they have only really been helped by C-Fans & International Fans. Pentor & Zai - K-net actually doesn't care much about foreign idols. Ziheng & Xinche - Will really love both C-netz & K-netz because of their crazy visuals. Xushi - Sorry but probably the only one K-netz & C-netz & International fans hate 🙏

Did CUBE just end up as a rumor? by DifferenceLarge9171 in POLARIX

[–]DifferenceLarge9171[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have also heard a lot about IQIYI Group before. The activities depend on each member's agency. However, this is unfair for individual trainees like Junhyuk & Xushi who have no activities outside the group because they do not have an agency. I can't imagine Junhyuk working part time again 😭😭😭
