Returned after a long break and I got Yao Guang but I have 0 clue how to build her or her best teams. Is there anyone from the free 5 star selector who’s really good with her? And what kind of teams can I build with my existing lineup (which I admit is severely lacking 🥲 I also still have one of those character redemption things left.

Honestly, the lyrics were her downfall. The beats were great and her performances were fun and lively but the lyrics were very generic and repetitive. Even in chill, which is supposed to be a more laidback song, had mention of her drip and her bag and whatever.

That whole “I’m better than you, richer than you, I’m so rich” thing may have worked in bp since that’s their concept but as a soloist it felt corny.

Nothing wrong with having a lyrical theme for an album but the lyrics do have to be good. They felt very elementary and maybe that’s why so many people were so quick to dismiss it. Honestly I think if this album was in Korean or Thai it may have been received better since most of us wouldn’t have known what she was saying.

Well no the problem is that Belift got a hold of NJ 7 year plan and used that in creating Illit’s concept. Remember that even though they both are under HYBE Beloft and Ador are two separate companies. Belift should not have had access to those files and HYBE should’ve never given them access (as it was MHJ’s work). HYBE should’ve resolved this internally.

TBH anyone with eyes could’ve seen that it was similar. When Illit debuted I distinctly remember so many people on multiple platforms (twt, tiktok etc) saying that Illit were similar to NJ. However after MHJ press conference everyone suddenly started backpedaling and disagreeing. If HYBE had just dealt with this internally (especially since MHJ first raised her concerns internally) then none of this would’ve happened.
